About the Role
As our Email Marketing Manager, youβll lead our email and lifecycle marketing strategy, owning campaigns end-to-end and helping drive retention, repeat purchase, and customer lifetime value. Youβll map the customer journey, build and optimize automated flows, and find smart ways to personalize content. Youβll collaborate closely with the marketing, creative, and e-commerce teams to align our email program with product launches, promotions, and brand storytelling. As we continue to evolve our approach, you'll also thoughtfully integrate SMS into our lifecycle strategy where it adds value. This role is perfect for someone whoβs ready to take ownership, bring fresh ideas, and help grow a small high-performing brand.
Responsibilities
β’ Lead the strategy and execution for our email marketing program and core lifecycle flows to support customer retention and repeat purchase goals.
β’ Own the email calendar β plan and prioritize sends in alignment with product launches, promotions, and brand storytelling.
β’ Develop and optimize automated flows (welcome series, re-engagement, abandoned cart) to strengthen the customer journey.
β’ Run A/B tests and analyze performance data to refine strategy and grow key metrics (opens, clicks, conversion).
β’ Collaborate with the graphic designers and e-commerce to align on layouts, visuals, and creative assets that bring campaigns to life.
β’ Share insights and recommendations with the team to help improve overall retention and customer lifetime value.
β’ Manage external vendors, contractors, or agency partners who support design, copywriting, and technical email needs.
β’ Evaluate the strategic use of SMS and other direct messaging channels as part of a thoughtful retention strategy.
Qualifications
β’ 5+ years of experience owning email and lifecycle marketing campaigns for a B2C brand, ideally in beauty, personal care, or lifestyle.
β’ Hands-on expertise with ESPs and building/optimizing automated flows.
β’ Proven track record managing a campaign calendar and aligning it with broader brand priorities.
β’ Strong analytical skills β you can translate open and click data into clear actions.
β’ Comfortable proposing ideas and testing new ways to reach customers.
β’ Committed to delivering thoughtful, on-brand experiences that connect with real people.
β’ Confident collaborator who loves partnering with cross-functional teams.
β’ (Nice to have) Experience with SMS marketing or other direct messaging channels.
β’ Based in the United States, preferably in Mountain or Pacific timezones
