Role description
About Us:
Moss - formerly Moss Bros - is reinventing itself, and a reinvention of the way it does marketing is at the heart of this.
Our clothes, stores and pricing have evolved over the last few years, combining timeless tailoring with modern twists that reflect the evolving style of today’s customer. The sleek design and carefully curated product offering are a testament to the brand’s ongoing commitment to innovation and quality, ensuring Moss stays at the forefront of menswear while remaining true to its heritage.
From relaxed suits to versatile separates and sustainable fabrics, Moss has reinvented its wardrobe, but not enough customers - or potential customers - know about this. We want to change that, with a major advertising campaign centred on the idea that Moss clothes help men feel more confident about themselves, whether at work, a wedding, or for a casual weekend look. This is part of a significant increase in Moss’s investment in marketing - both in people and the resources available to them.
We’re looking for smart and collaborative marketers with a range of skills to join the team and be a part of turning Moss from a well-kept secret to a go-to brand for men of style + substance. And with the ambition to develop and grow their own skills and career opportunities at the same time.
Purpose of this Role:
As part of the CRM team, reporting to the Head of CRM, the role of the Email Marketing Manager will be at the heart of building a commercially focused email marketing proposition, incorporating brand story-telling, lifecycle and automated journeys and commercial messages.
Working collaboratively right across Moss - from the product teams, through store teams, to in-house and agency specialist and creative resources - you will take responsibility for all aspects of email marketing planning and execution, with targets to drive multi-channel sales as well as building loyalty and advocacy in our subscriber base.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Oversee email campaign calendar and lifecycle programs
• Work with Marketing teams to devise content plans tailored to key customer segments (e.g. Formal, Casual, Hire customers)
• Manage triggered comms (welcome, abandonment, etc.)
• Collaborate with brand on creative/content
• Use segmentation to tailor content and drive performance (e.g. for store vs online customers, newly acquired vs high-value customers).
• Oversee regular testing and define a clear long-term agenda
• Partner with analytics teams to own and deliver regular Email reporting and insights
• Manage the CRM Developer
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Technical:
• 3–5 years hands-on experience managing email campaigns within a CRM or lifecycle marketing role, ideally in a retail or consumer-facing environment.
• Demonstrable experience using a modern Email Service Provider (ESP) and/or Customer Data Platform (CDP) to build, segment, and analyse campaigns (e.g. Klaviyo, Salesforce, Bloomreach, Emarsys).
• Strong understanding of customer segmentation and lifecycle marketing principles — able to translate behaviour into targeted journeys.
• Proven ability to design and optimise automated email flows (e.g. welcome, basket abandonment, win-back, birthday, product triggers).
• Confident working with performance data: understands key CRM KPIs (e.g. open rate, CTR, conversion, unsubscribe rate, LTV) and can interpret results to drive decisions.
• Experience running structured A/B or multivariate testing: including hypothesis design, execution, and analysis.
• Excellent copy and content briefing skills. Able to shape engaging, brand-aligned messaging that drives action.
About You:
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with business stake-holders to align CRM with broader marketing goals.
• Strong organisational and project management skills. Able to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
• A passion for customer experience and a commercial mindset. Always looking for ways to improve retention, repeat rate, and revenue.
Rewards & Benefits:
• Employee Discount: 70% discount across all our stores.
• Season Ticket Loan: Financial support for commuting.
• Cycle to Work Scheme: Encouraging eco-friendly travel.
• Discounted Gym Membership with PureGym: Promoting physical health and fitness.
• Life Insurance: Providing peace of mind for colleagues.
• Ongoing Development: Tailored to suit your career ambitions from day one.
• Access to Moss Learning: An online learning platform for skill enhancement.
• Employee Hub: Easy access on the go to colleague benefits, recognition, wellbeing, and company updates.
• New Baby Gift: Celebrating important personal milestones of colleagues.
Additional information: Our Hybrid Work Policy requires a minimum of 4 days in the office and 1 working from home.
