Role description
We’re hiring a Retention Strategist to own the customer lifecycle for DTC brands, building smart, scalable strategies that turn first-time buyers into repeat customers.
This is a client-facing role at the heart of the Everboost engine. You’ll lead a cross-functional pod of email specialists, designers, and copywriters - mapping out campaigns, flows, tests, and retention strategies that drive results.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Lead retention strategy across 5+ high-growth DTC accounts
• Act as the primary advisor for clients on retention strategy and broader growth insights
• Build detailed briefs for flows and campaigns aligned with brand, goals, and past learnings
• Oversee campaign calendars, pacing, and performance to hit KPIs
• Design and interpret A/B tests with clear hypotheses and learning agendas
• Pull monthly + quarterly reports and distil complex data into actionable insights
• Collaborate with your pod: ensure copy, design, and tech all align with the strategy
• Spot issues before they escalate. Troubleshoot and improve, always.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
• 2+ years in email/retention marketing (agency and DTC experience = big plus), not as a copywriter, but as an account manager or strategist
• You’ve led strategy, not just execution, and owned results on large accounts
• You’re staying on top of AI trends and advancements, fully embracing the tech rather than shying away from it
• Fluent in Klaviyo, with working knowledge of Shopify, GA, and analytics tools like Lifetimely, Peel, or Northbeam
• Confident client communicator (you can sell a strategy and stand by it)
• You think in cohorts, LTV curves, and incremental lifts
• You know how to brief and lead a creative team (copy/design/tech)
• You’ve got a bias for action, but a sharp eye for detail
• Bonus: You’ve managed teams or mentored others and loved it
• Experience managing marketing for 7-figure brands
