We are a venture-backed wellness brand designed for the romance novel reading ritual. Our products are crafted to elevate daily routines into moments of indulgence and intention. With validated product-market fit and strong early traction, we are preparing to scale across DTC, Amazon, and brand partnerships. This is a rare opportunity to work with experienced, successfully exited CPG founders, and join at the ground floor of a brand with a deeply engaged community, and the ambition to become the first fandom-powered wellness brand.
The Role
As Head of Marketing, you will architect and execute a capital-efficient, high-leverage growth strategy across eCommerce channels, influencer programs, and brand partnerships. As a founding team member, you’ll have equity upside and full ownership of the customer journey—from acquisition to retention and repeat purchase.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Acquisition & Performance Marketing
• Lead paid media strategy (Meta, Google, etc.) with CAC payback <3 months and strong LTV pathways.
• Build and manage the right mix of in-house and agency resources.
• Drive creative testing and iteration loops to maximize conversions and resonance.
Influencer, Community & Content Flywheel
• Build and scale an always-on influencer program—macro to micro—with measurable ROI.
• Foster a community of super-users that fuels UGC, referrals, and social proof.
Channel Expansion & Strategic Growth Ops
• Launch and optimize Amazon and TikTok as key sales and discovery channels.
• Pilot and scale retail and B2B partnerships with healthy margins.
• Build the growth analytics stack (tracking, attribution, cohort reporting) and own demand planning inputs.
Leadership & Capital Planning
• Partner with the founding team on company strategy, budget management, and board communications.
• Hire and lead a lean, high-performing growth team with clear metrics and accountability.
• Embody values of curiosity, grit, and a bias for action.
You May Be a Fit If You…
• Have 5+ years leading growth at a high-velocity consumer brand, ideally in wellness or beauty, with a proven track record of scaling DTC revenue and improving CAC:LTV.
• Bring a strategic foundation from consulting, investment banking, or similar, paired with strong operator experience.
• Are full-funnel fluent: creative briefing, testing cycles, and attribution modeling.
• Have hands-on performance marketing experience and comfort managing agency + in-house mixes.
• Know how to build community-driven growth engines, including influencer, affiliate, and UGC programs.
• Understand Amazon, TikTok, and emerging retail channels, scaling without compromising margin.
• Are data-savvy and analytical, with experience building/overseeing a modern growth stack.
• Operate with a capital-efficient mindset, optimizing contribution margin and inventory planning.

What Success Looks Like in Year One
• Launch DTC with CAC payback under 3 months and sustainable LTV growth.
• Build an influencer engine that drives 25%+ of new customer acquisition at break-even or better.
• Launch Amazon and achieve a Top 10 ranking in our category within 6 months.
• Hit a $5MM run-rate with disciplined burn and strong unit economics, setting the stage for a Series A raise.
