We are seeking a skilled Front End Developer with expertise in React Native and Node.js to lead the migration of our client’s current eCommerce platform from WooCommerce to Xano, with Xano/Postgres as the backend database. This role will be responsible for building responsive, high-performing mobile (iOS & Android) and web applications while collaborating with backend and product teams to ensure a seamless migration and superior user experience. The role will be hybrid in Lake Mills, WI and can offer a flexible full or part-time schedule for the ideal candidate. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native for iOS and Android. • Build and optimize web applications using Node.js. • Lead the migration process from WooCommerce to Xano with Xano/Postgres as the backend. • Work closely with backend engineers to integrate RESTful APIs and ensure efficient data flow. • Translate UI/UX wireframes into responsive, functional, and user-friendly applications. • Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best practices. • Troubleshoot and debug performance issues across platforms. • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality features on time. • Stay current with new technologies and industry trends to improve development practices. Qualifications • 3+ years of experience in front-end/mobile development. • Strong proficiency in React Native for cross-platform app development. • Solid experience with Node.js for web application development. • Hands-on experience migrating or integrating platforms, ideally from WooCommerce to Xano (or similar backend migrations). • Familiarity with Postgres or Xano databases and backend API integrations. • Understanding of RESTful APIs and best practices for scalable app architecture. • Experience with Git/GitHub (or similar version control). • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment. Nice to Have • Experience with Xano specifically. • Understanding of shipment status with FedEx and USPS • Experience with Stripe or Ayden Payments processing integrations • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms and payment integrations. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines. • Knowledge of TypeScript. • Background in performance optimization for mobile and web apps.
