The Stow Company is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Full Stack Development Manager located in Holland, MI. Primary Purpose of Position: The Full Stack Development Manager oversees the entire software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment, and is proficient in both front-end and back-end technologies. They possess a deep understanding of the technical aspects of development and can effectively manage and guide a team of full-stack developers. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to bridge the gap between various stakeholders. In essence, a full-stack development manager is a technical leader who can manage the entire development process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and performant web applications. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team. • Project Management: Manage the entire development lifecycle, including planning, execution, and delivery. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with product managers, designers, and other teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment. • Code Review and Quality Assurance: Ensure code quality and adherence to best practices. • Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks and optimize application performance. • Technology Stack Selection: Make informed decisions about the technology stack used for development. • Proficiency in ecommerce methodology: Ability to outline the processes and strategies for building and managing multiple online stores. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience: • BS Computer Science; MIS, CIS or other related fields. • MS a plus • 5-10 years in a leadership position Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • Proficiency in both front-end and back-end technologies: Including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, C#, and various server-side languages (e.g., Python, Django) and databases (e.g. SQL, Postgres). • Strong understanding of software development methodologies: Agile, Scrum, etc. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Problem-solving and analytical skills: Ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues. • Leadership and management experience: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of developers, including both internal and contractor. • Cloud Technology: AWS, Azure, Google architecture and solutions • Systems Integrations: SAP Integration Suite or Business Technology Platform a plus • 3D Rendering: ThreeJS or WebXR a plus • Interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with individuals both internally and externally to The Stow Company • Must have excellent customer service skills; including strong written and verbal communication skills • Must have the ability to interface with all levels of personnel in an office and a manufacturing environment • Ability to take the initiative and work well independently with little supervision, and as part of a team PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Sitting at workstation approximately 90 percent of work time • Standing and walking approximately 10 percent of work time • Must be able to travel between plant and office locations • Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short notice • Typical office environment with shelves overhead and above work surfaces
