We are looking for a GIS Analyst.
GIS Analyst to support the development and sustainment of projects we support throughout the company. Our department supports a wide range of project types, including Attractions, Maintenance, Foods, Merchandise, and Entertainment. Projects range from minor renovations to new facilities. You will also support immediate response efforts with reactionary projects. The objective of this position is to serve as a GIS specialist for the company, developing and administering the GIS Program for the organization. This involves creating and maintaining geospatial data, visualizations, applications, and tools for internal use by various stakeholders.
As a GIS Analyst, you will manage data related to underground utilities, waterways, equipment, and the many other assets at the company.
• In this collaborative role, you will participate in the development of the Resort’s GIS platform for underground utilities and other assets by reviewing inaccuracies, researching Record Documents, and editing features in the Resort’s Enterprise Portal.
• Perform field work to investigate and validate asset location and condition within the Resort.
• Work with stakeholders to develop and maintain mobile and web-based GIS resources to streamline communication and make existing practices more efficient (e.g., Field Maps, Experience Builder, Sites, Dashboards, etc.).
• Support GIS workflows with map production, spatial analyses, and data updates in a geospatial enterprise environment.
• Maintain knowledge and expertise in the use of Esri GIS products.
• Train and assist non-technical staff in the use of GIS applications, tools, and resources.
• Support project management teams to develop scopes of work and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for outside consulting resources
• Provide materials, such as visualizations, analytics, and presentations, to support executive decisions
• Partner with internal teams to develop, maintain, communicate, and enforce Company design guidelines, standards, master specifications, and details.
• Responsibilities
• E-commerce distribution analyst/specialist role. Support internal and external partners as the “on the ground” resource representing the client in implementing and expanding e-Commerce distribution with an existing third-party logistics provider.
Basic Qualifications
• 3 to 7 years of geospatial experience
• Solid understanding of GIS fundamentals and concepts, including asset data management, coordinate systems, cartography, and spatial analytics.
• Proficient in the use of Esri’s suite of mobile, desktop, web, and server-based ArcGIS products, such as ArcGIS Pro, Portal for ArcGIS, Experience Builder, and Field Maps.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documentation, such as record engineering drawings, to independently solve problems and perform analyses.
• Familiar with underground utility systems.
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written) with clients, consultants, contractors, Resort stakeholders, and management.
• Enthusiasm to learn new technologies and build skills, which is vital in supporting the evolving nature of both the Resort and the geospatial and digital industries.
• Ability to critically evaluate problems and provide solutions.
• You must be a self-motivated collaborator to bring concepts into physical and digital reality.
Required Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
• Strong background with utility engineering fundamentals and concepts, including data quality levels and utility topology rules.
• Experience using GIS enterprise relational databases and sharing content using ArcGIS Enterprise is strongly preferred.
• Experience designing and implementing automation workflows using a variety of resources (e.g., FME, SQL queries, Python scripts, ArcGIS Arcade, ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, Microsoft Power Automate, etc.).
• Experience with the Esri Utility Networks extension.
