Role description
Key Responsibilities
· Architect and deploy server-side GTM solutions for efficient, secure data collection.
· Lead GA4 migrations and implementations with custom event tracking, data layer design, and cross-domain setups.
· Develop GTM custom templates using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for advanced tracking needs.
· Automate workflows using GA4 Measurement Protocol and Admin API for large-scale deployments.
· Integrate tracking with Shopify, cookie consent tools (OneTrust, Transcend), and CDPs (e.g., Segment).
· Debug and troubleshoot tracking issues using Chrome DevTools, Omnibug, and ObservePoint.
· Ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws.
· Collaborate with engineers, marketers, and analysts to align tracking with business goals.
· Manage Git/GitHub workflows and CI/CD pipelines for tagging deployments.
Required Skills
· 5+ years in analytics engineering, tagging architecture, or web development.
· Expert-level GA4 & GTM (client-side and server-side) implementation.
· Advanced JavaScript/HTML/CSS for custom GTM template development.
· Hands-on experience with:
o Server-side GTM (Google Cloud Run/AWS Lambda).
o Shopify tracking (checkout events, product impressions).
o Privacy tools (OneTrust, Transcend, Cookiebot).
· Proficiency in debugging tools (DevTools, Charles Proxy, Fiddler).
· Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, and agile workflows.
Nice-to-Have Skills
· Experience with BigQuery, Looker Studio, or Marketing CDPs.
· Certifications: Google Analytics, GTM, or Ads.
