The Role
As Group CFO, you will be a strategic partner to the CEO and board of directors, guiding the business through its next phase of growth and ensuring financial resilience, scalability, and compliance across our multi-entity international structure.
While you will oversee a 4-person UK finance team, your focus will be on strategy, complex financial problem-solving, and managing high-level escalations. You will be instrumental in driving commercial insight, supporting expansion into new markets, and ensuring the group structure is optimised for growth.

Responsibilities
Strategic Finance Leadership
• Shape and execute the financial strategy to support rapid, sustainable growth.
• Provide commercial insight and strategic guidance to the CEO and senior leadership team.
• Deliver the correct software solutions to financial processes to allow scalability.
• Advise on international expansion, investment opportunities.
Group Structure & International Operations
• Oversee compliance, tax efficiency, and governance across multiple international entities, starting with the USA, but expanding elsewhere.
• Ensure financial systems and processes scale effectively with business growth.
• Manage risk and currency exposure in multi-jurisdiction trading.
Business Performance & Decision Support
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Provide timely, high-quality analysis to drive informed decision-making.
• Monitor key financial and operational KPIs, proactively addressing issues.
Team Leadership & Development
• Manage, mentor, and empower the finance team to maintain autonomy and excellence in delivery.
• Foster a high-performance culture aligned with the company’s 6 values and growth ambitions.
Essential
Skills Required
• Proven CFO or senior finance leadership experience in a growth-oriented business.
• Experience in both e-commerce and international trading.
• Strong understanding of group company structures and multi-entity reporting.
• Strategic thinker with commercial acumen and ability to translate numbers into actionable insights.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong grasp of compliance, tax planning, and governance in an international context.
Desirable
• Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Experience in the manufacturing, engineering, or other B2B sector.
• Familiarity with ERP and advanced reporting tools.
• Track record of leading digital transformation in finance.
• Multilingual or experience working across multiple cultures.
• Specific experience of the US, Australian and EU markets.
