Role description
About Zigzag
Do you want to help pups and their pawrents develop a lifelong bond? Come and join us at Zigzag, the #1 app for dog training and life skills. Sadly, many pups don’t get the right training, which often leads to future behavioural problems, or worse, abandonment. We want to prevent that. We're on a mission to make puppy training accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Come and join us!
You’ll be joining us at an exciting time: we’ve been awarded Apple’s App of the Day, featured in their New Apps We Love, and shortlisted for several major industry awards. Backed by a major global petcare organisation, we are a fast-growing start-up venture with big global ambitions. We’re setting our sights high and have grown from a team of 2 to a team of 15 in the past two years, and we’re looking to grow again. If you’re ambitious, love a sense of adventure, and like the idea of making a meaningful impact from day one, we’re probably the right place for you.
About the Growth Manager role
This role sits within our small but extremely talented, award-winning marketing team made up of a Performance Marketer, a CRM Manager, and a Marketing Lead. You’ll be focused on non-paid acquisition channels, as well as supporting other functions, with the ultimate goal of driving as many high-quality users to our industry-leading app.
Due to the nature of the role and the size of the team, we’re looking for someone who’s able to wear multiple hats and work cross-functionally. There will be a mix of autonomous, owned projects and collaborative efforts with the marketing team and wider business (e.g. Data, Product, Dev).
A strong multi-channel growth background is desired, as we look for someone with proven product-led growth experience and expertise in initiatives such as Partnerships, SEO, Conversion Rate Optimisation, and Social Media. We’re a small, data-driven team that moves quickly and loves to test and learn, so a strong head for numbers, reporting, and ownership of KPIs is key.
This role suits someone comfortable ideating, executing, analysing, and optimising campaigns with a strong data-driven approach and a good understanding of how digital marketing channels fit together strategically.
What You’ll Be Doing
Partnerships & Affiliates management
• Manage and develop our relationships with key partners
• Track performance, optimise partnerships, and scale opportunities
Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO)
• Lead CRO initiatives on our app and website landing pages using data to identify friction points and improve user journeys
• Collaborate with product, data, and design teams to test and iterate
Product-Led Growth
• Work with product and lifecycle teams to test onboarding, referral, and engagement mechanics
• Use behavioural data to prioritise and measure growth experiments
SEO
• Manage SEO-driven content plan for the website
• Keep track of industry trends to ensure our content is relevant to and best capturing our target audience
Social Media
• Own organic social media calendars across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and others, reviewing strategy and success metrics
• Collaborate with creatives and the wider team for consistent and effective messaging
• Work closely with our Performance Marketing Manager to curate ad creatives
Analytics & Reporting
• Collaborate with the Data team to own reporting across the above initiatives
• Generate insights and inform decisions based on data
• Communicate results clearly to stakeholders
• Own and deliver on KPIs via an OKR framework
What You'll Bring
• 3 to 5 years’ experience across multiple growth marketing channels
• Comfortable managing diverse projects and priorities within a start-up environment
• Strong data skills with tools like Google Analytics and Looker Studio
• A test-and-learn mindset, able to own experiments from idea to analysis
• Collaborative, proactive, and clear communicator
What We'll Offer
• Join a B-Corp company where people & planet comes first
• Attractive incentive scheme
• Retirement Planning: Zigzag’s contribution 5% and employee 3%
• Private health scheme
• Work from abroad 2 weeks per year
• Volunteering: 1 day a year
• Modern dog-friendly office
• Hybrid and flexible working with 2 days a week at our Victoria office (WeWork)
• Budget for at-home work set-up support
• Dedicated annual budget for training and development for all employees
• 25 days holiday, increasing 1 day per year with the company (up to a maximum of 27)
