This is an exciting opportunity to lead all digital initiatives and drive innovation across all of our Shopify websites. You will play a crucial role in shaping our digital presence, collaborating with paid channel agencies, and developing cutting-edge digital strategies. This role requires a strategic leader who is also hands-on, responsible for uploading assets and maintaining the websites. Responsibilities: Digital Strategy: • Develop and implement comprehensive digital strategies to drive growth and • enhance the user experience. • Forecast future digital trends and plan for their integration into the business. • Lead digital transformation initiatives to improve business operations and • customer engagement. Website Management: • Oversee the maintenance, performance, and functionality of all company Shopify websites. • Ensure websites are up-to-date, secure, and optimised for speed and scalability. • Be hands-on and responsible for uploading assets, including images and content, to the websites. • Collaborate with designers and developers to implement new features and improvements. SEO and Analytics: • Implement SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings and visibility. • Utilise analytics tools to track website performance, user behaviour, and campaign effectiveness. • Generate weekly reports on digital performance metrics and develop action plans based on these insights. • Present detailed reports and action plans on what’s happening next to senior management. Content Management: • Manage and curate digital content, ensuring it aligns with brand guidelines • and is optimised for search engines. • Oversee the creation of engaging content, including text, images, and videos. Digital Marketing Coordination: • Coordinate with the paid channel team and external agencies to optimise • digital advertising campaigns. • Support the development and management of email marketing, social media, • and other digital marketing strategies. • Track and analyse the effectiveness of digital marketing efforts and adjust • strategies accordingly. Technical Support: • Provide leadership in troubleshooting and resolving website-related issues. • Work closely with IT and other departments to ensure seamless digital • operations. Compliance and Security: • Ensure all digital assets comply with legal regulations and industry standards. • Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect digital data and • assets. Team Leadership: • Work with the wider teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. • Clearly define the size and structure of the team being managed. Digital Transformation: • Lead initiatives to integrate advanced technologies and optimise digital processes. • Ensure that digital strategies align with overall business objectives. Innovation and Future Planning: • Research and implement innovative digital solutions. • Prepare the business for future digital trends and customer expectations. Stakeholder Management: • Act as the primary point of contact for external digital agencies. • Work closely with theCMO, and other senior management to align digital • strategies with business goals. Budget Management: • Oversee the digital budget and ensure efficient allocation of resources. • Evaluate ROI on digital investments and optimise spending. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Extensive experience in a digital leadership role, preferably within the e-commerce sector. • Proven expertise in managing large, multi-national Shopify stores. • Proficiency in web development languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. • Proven expertise in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and SEO principles. • Strong understanding of digital marketing, including paid channels, email marketing, • and social media. • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills. • Ability to think strategically and plan for the long-term development of digital assets. Preferred Skills: • Knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator). • Familiarity with emerging digital technologies and trends.
