About The Role
Support the US vision to drive exceptional experience and profitable growth through direct sales channels.
• Develop the business plan to grow the Dyson US direct business in line with short and long term goals by delivering a best in class experience that focuses on our technology
• Manage the direct value proposition to give our current and future owners a reason to engage, buy, advocate and come back to Dyson Direct
• Work in partnership with the Direct channel owners (dyson.com, 3rd party marketplaces, CRM, direct detail, customer service online and offline, professional beauty) to identify and implement opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell
• Lead the negotiation of new retail business models, including terms negotiations with retail partners, to extend the experience in Direct to other 3rd party retail properties
• Develop a clear playbook, working closely with channel owners and other key stakeholders, to codify the levers to pull depending on various business needs for each of our product categories
• Deliver assigned budgets on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis and develop actions for all direct channels to achieve the agreed plan
• Monitor direct sales and inventories; identify opportunities and assess related risks; gain consensus and approval from internal stakeholders; communicate and implement proposed action plans.
• Seek out decision makers and influencers to best maximize the direct business, and create positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Forecast at the account and product level as required for attaining sales, profit and inventory goals.
• Manage funds and resources for the best return on investment; analyze sales data and implement high quality solutions to drive business across all categories.
Develop and manage relationships and processes with internal business partners.
• Comprehensive knowledge of customers and direct channels; ability to communicate that knowledge effectively to execute plans regarding distribution, merchandising, pricing, product placement and marketing programs
• Oversee the delivery of Dyson online products and services with support from the supply chain team, monitor orders, track sales and shipments to meet customer expectations
• Accountability for all business processes related to the position and working cross-functionally with trade marketing, E-Commerce, accounts receivable, legal customer service and all related paperwork
• Oversee the implementation of the online sales promotion program and co-develop a calendar of activity that fits with the retail activity plan, ensuring that we are competitive across direct channels
Build business plans that enable the Direct organization.
• Manage day-to-day relationships with retail sales and channel management, category heads, finance, supply chain and external partners to ensure design and execution of high-quality sales plans
• Regularly review the purchase journey through the website and work closely with the eCommerce channel owners to optimize the shopping experience to improve conversion.
• Audit competitive activity through direct channels in terms of product range, marketing initiatives, functionality and customer offering (e.g. promotion, service, etc.) to achieve best results.
Contribute to the US Sales team.
• Represent Dyson to the trade; demonstrate exemplary execution of Dyson values with business partners and emerging business channels.
• Attend financial planning meetings and all sales, marketing planning meetings, to ensure alignment with overall US business plans
• Serve as an active member and high performing contributor to the sales account management and channel team, and partnering with other team members to support new opportunities as they arise
• Be able to challenge self and others in accepting the norm, while working towards best practices.
• Explore and build relationships with other e-retailers by proposing sales plans and ideas

About You:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required.
• 7-10 years as a buyer or merchandiser, account sales or account management experience required; eCommerce experience strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of budget/quota delivery.
• Diverse experience supporting sales, operations, trade marketing, category management and financial analysis required.
• Working for a leading retailer strongly preferred.
• Passionate about eCommerce and the opportunities it brings to drive traffic/sales.
• P&L proficiency and ability.
• Proven negotiation and closing skills, both at the account and product sales levels.
• Ability to understand the Dyson brand and uphold its integrity.
• Demonstrate the ability to penetrate the appropriate customer team and internal functions to achieve maximum results on sales objectives.
• Ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans for direct-selling channels, pricing and product sales.

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, deliver under pressure and secure buy-in to manage a number of projects with tight deadlines.
• Must have excellent project management skills to coordinate both internal and external resources in a cross-functional organization, collaborative in resolving problems.
• Advanced knowledge/ proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook required.
