Role description
We are seeking a visionary Head of Growth to spearhead LaunchGood's next phase of exponential expansion through a combination of product, process and people, as the world's leading crowdfunding platform for Muslims.
Weβre looking for an experienced leader who can help us scale our impact across global Muslim communities through growth strategies and innovative product that drives sustainable revenue acceleration, market expansion, and donor acquisition at a large scale.
This senior leadership position sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, responsible for orchestrating multi-channel growth ecosystems while building high-performing teams that consistently deliver breakthrough results for causes that matter most to our communities.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in positioning LaunchGood as the Go-to Sadaqah platform, while scaling operations to support our ambitious mission of empowering good worldwide.
Here are some things our past Head of Growth worked on:
1. Reorganizing Business Development and other teams into a βCustomer Successβ team
1. Identifying a fast-growing trend in influencer fundraising and building a team, strategies and products around it
1. Driving fast and effective crisis responses (e.g. Turkey earthquake, Gaza relief) through cross-department collaboration with marketing, product, business development, etc.
1. Hosting 40+ influencers in Doha as part of the GMW Summit
1. Organizing team-wide retreat bringing together team players from across the globe to plan for next phase of growth
What our future Head of Growth might find themselves working on:
1. Building phase one of LaunchGood+ which includes a range of fundraising back-end tools for charities
1. Developing programmes for ambassadors and influencers to further amplify the support the incredible work they are doing
1. Scaling our North America operations
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management
β’ Lead & Manage - Lead and manage growth teams consisting of Business Development, Ads, Zakat, Emergency Response, Influencers and Ambassadors
β’ Shura - Serve as a key member of Shura (extended leadership team), contributing to company-wide strategic decisions that advance our mission
β’ Collaborate - Foster collaboration and alignment across departments (especially Programs and Product) to deliver alignment and effective high value programs like Ramadan & Dhul Hijjah etc.
Growth Innovation & Muslim Fundraising Market Leadership
β’ Accelerate the growth of LaunchGood through product, process and people
β’ Identify new growth opportunities in existing or new verticals
β’ Lead market expansion into emerging Muslim-majority territories as part of vision to become the go-to sadaqah platform for the Ummah
β’ Data-informed growth approach where ideas are aggressively tested and lessons learned
β’ Lead our LaunchGood+ operations, focussing on packaging and go to market strategy
β’ Collaborate with Product on innovative approaches to giving that bridge traditional philanthropy with modern digital fundraising
β’ Intentionally engage and build strong relationships with industry leaders as well as our customers, e.g CEOβs and Fundraising Directors
Experience
β’ 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in growth or business development roles, preferably in tech, fundraising, or Islamic economy sector
β’ History of managing multi-layer teams and departments (including senior managers and Directors)
β’ Experience building and scaling relationships, particularly in diverse global cultural contexts
Skills & Competencies
β’ Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities with cultural sensitivity to Islamic values and practices
β’ Excellent relationship-building and partnership development skills within Muslim communities
β’ Data-driven approach to decision making with strong analytical skills and understanding of Muslim Fundraising sector
β’ Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, with ability to engage diverse global audiences
β’ Proven ability to drive results in fast-paced, dynamic environments while maintaining ethical standards
β’ Experience with diverse growth channels including digital marketing, partnerships, and community-based outreach
