Glamorgan County Cricket Club is embarking on a bold and exciting journey to redefine professional cricket engagement in Wales and beyond. We are seeking a visionary and commercially minded Head of Marketing, Brand & Digital to lead a transformational growth strategy across Glamorgan Cricket, Welsh Fire, and Sophia Gardens. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Welsh cricket—driving attendance, building brands, engaging new audiences, and delivering meaningful digital innovation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the strategic development and execution of marketing, brand, content, digital and PR functions, with the aim of growing the reach, reputation, and revenue of our cricketing portfolio. You will oversee a full digital transformation and establish best-in-class marketing practices that position the Club as a Top 8 franchise in the evolving UK cricket landscape. Key responsibilities include:
• Develop and execute data-led marketing strategies that significantly increase attendances, revenue and fan engagement across all competitions and formats.
• Lead on brand development for Glamorgan, Welsh Fire and Sophia Gardens—elevating local, national, and international profiles.
• Oversee digital transformation across all platforms, embedding a digital-first, insight-led culture within the Club.
• Drive ROI from all marketing activity, owning both the ticketing revenue and marketing spend budget.
• Develop CRM systems, content strategies and digital monetisation models to enhance fan experiences and unlock new revenue streams.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of Commercial to support commercial partnerships with digital assets and storytelling capabilities.
• Build and lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary team covering Marketing, PR, Digital and Content.
• Champion a culture of innovation, insight, and fan-centricity across all touchpoints.
Key Metrics for Success include:
• Growth in match attendances across international, domestic and The Hundred competitions.
• Ticketing revenue uplift and improved campaign ROI.
• Increase in digital audience size and engagement.
• Expansion of CRM database and improved customer journey effectiveness.
We are seeking a strategic leader with the drive and creativity to shape the future of cricket marketing in Wales. The ideal candidate will have a track record of leading marketing, digital and brand functions - ideally in sport, entertainment, or consumer-facing sectors. Significant experience driving commercial growth through insight-led marketing strategies will be coupled with demonstrated success delivering major digital transformations and overseeing CRM implementation. Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to build and inspire cross-functional teams and essential along with proven ability to balance creative flair with commercial acumen. Additionally, we are looking for strong planning, budget management, and stakeholder engagement capabilities. This is an opportunity to make a real impact on Welsh sport, delivering meaningful change in how cricket connects with its audiences.
