Marin is a rapidly-growing skincare brand in Portland, ME revolutionizing barrier repair with products powered by Glycoproteins - a patented, regenerative protein found in lobster that delivers transformative results for dry, damaged, eczema-prone skin. Building upon 4 years of explosive DTC growth, we’re excited to welcome a hungry marketer to build, lead and grow the next category-leading, science-driven skincare brand.
About the Role
Joining the team in a stage of rapid growth, you’ll own 360-degree Marketing & Sales strategy and execution at Marin. This isn't just a marketing position - it's a three-dimensional leadership opportunity combining Revenue Ownership, Brand & Creative, and Leadership & Team-Building. You'll work directly with the CEO and Founders, driving financial performance with an owner's mindset, executing world-class marketing strategies, paid media programs and content creation, and championing cross-functional success that makes everyone around you better.
This role is as tactical as it is strategic; on a daily basis you’ll be hands-on across the board, everywhere from content creation and analyzing cohort LTV data, to strategizing campaigns and managing key dates of a new launch, while building towards the big picture - honing channel expansion strategy, architecting the marketing P&L, carrying the torch on a breakthrough product development initiative, coaching a team of marketing leaders, and leading the brand across all functions - from site to social to shelf.
We’re looking for the marketer that brings it all together, and scales everything, thoughtfully. As a critical leader in the business, you’ll own:
Revenue: Own revenue, profitability and growth targets.
• Paid Media & Acquisition: Profitably scale performance marketing across Meta, TikTok, Google, YouTube and Emerging Channels - optimizing CAC, LTV, and MER.
• Creator, Affiliate & PR: Activate a network of highly engaged creators and score consistent earned media that layers back up to a strategic comms strategy.
• Omnichannel & Retail Execution: Work with Operations to meet retail revenue and door count targets, while nurturing & planning towards strategic retail rollout initiatives.
• Email, SMS and Loyalty: Work with Snr Marketing Manager to create a world-class customer and retention experience that drives repeat purchase, subscription and builds brand champions.
• Facilitate Product Expansion & GTM: Partner closely with Operations and Product teams to create marketing calendars that ensure successful product launches and adoption.
Brand & Creative
• Brand Positioning & Category Leadership: Build and execute the vision to position Marin for category leadership and mass adoption of Glycoproteins.
• Social Media & Content: Co-develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies and campaigns across TikTok, IG and all social platforms.
• Design & Art Direction: Work with Snr Marketing Manager to oversee all creative development—art direction, design, photography, content, and copywriting—ensuring consistent brand positioning and compelling storytelling.
Leadership & Team-Building
• Build High-Performing Teams: Recruit, mentor, and develop talent across performance, brand, content and creative functions.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Work seamlessly with all departments to align marketing initiatives with broader business objectives.

Responsibilities:
• Own Revenue, Profitability Metrics and the Marketing P&L.
• Work with the Founders, CEO and Leadership team to co-develop and execute strategies across the entire business and be accountable for growth verticals including Paid Media, Email, SMS, Subscription, Loyalty, Creator Partnerships, Affiliate, PR, Omnichannel Expansion and facilitate Product Expansion & GTM.
• Guide Brand & Creative, spanning Brand Positioning, Social Media & Content, and Design & Art Direction.
• Team Building - Recruit, Lead, Coach and ensure Cross-Functional Collaboration of the entire Marketing team, building a high-quality culture of high-quality people
• Weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting on data, results, and strategy recommendations to Leadership team, Board and stakeholders.
Experience and Skills Required:
• 8-12+ years in Beauty/Skincare, DTC or growing consumer product brands.
• 8-12+ years in Performance Marketing, able to manage a team of media buyers, strategists, agencies, creators and designers.
