When you win, we win. 🚀 The Role We’re looking for a confident, emotionally intelligent, hands-on Head of Marketing to lead HeyLO!'s next growth phase. You’ll take full ownership of our marketing strategy — building on strong foundations to unlock scalable growth while preserving the authenticity and soul that makes our customers feel seen and supported. You’ll work closely with our talented Junior Marketing Manager — mentoring and developing them while scaling the team strategically. This is about building a marketing function from the ground up — creating systems and structure to support our ambitious plans. Our Founder, Heidi, started HeyLO! after struggling with yo-yo dieting. Low-carb helped her maintain weight loss — but there were no low-carb products she enjoyed, especially bread. So she created HeyLO! to solve that for herself and others. Heidi brings authentic lived experience, deep customer empathy, and a commitment to food that genuinely tastes great. She’s built HeyLO! on the belief that food should liberate, not restrict. The right candidate will honour this founder-led authenticity while bringing fresh, insight-led strategies to help us reach more people. You’re joining at a pivotal moment. We’re expanding beyond low-carb and keto audiences to reach diabetics, protein-seekers, and health-conscious mainstream consumers. We need a leader who can build a comprehensive strategy, grow the team, and scale without losing our core values — taste, community, and the HeyLO! magic. This is a hands-on leadership role, building a marketing organisation from scratch while staying true to our promise: “food that keeps you on track and makes you smile.” 💡 Key Responsibilities • Build and lead HeyLO!'s marketing function, starting with our junior marketing manager • Lead our 5-year strategy — evolving us from niche to mainstream while staying authentic • Establish systems that support rapid team growth and quality • Manage and coach the team — developing their skills, confidence, and community mindset • Set KPIs tied to growth goals (acquisition, community, LTV) • Own and optimise the marketing budget • Champion HeyLO!'s brand values across all activity • Drive audience expansion while keeping our loyal base engaged • Lead product pipeline planning with our bakery partners • Deliver campaigns that reflect customer transformations (“I feel normal again,” “I’ve got my life back”) • Shape retail and distribution strategies, preparing for supermarket expansion • Drive community growth (Facebook group, advocacy) • Plan international expansion • Represent marketing at senior leadership level, aligning strategy with our mission 💪 Who We’re Looking For • A confident, mature marketing leader with empathy and strategic sharpness • Deep understanding of the emotional weight of food decisions • Hands-on and scrappy — ready to lead and execute • Prioritises community over vanity metrics • Passionate about challenger brands that make a real difference 🎯 You’ll Thrive in This Role If You: • Have experience leading marketing in high-growth, entrepreneurial settings • Have scaled a company from early-stage to significant growth (currently 7 figures aiming for 8) • Are commercially savvy — aligning spend with business outcomes • Have sharp brand instincts and creativity • Are a supportive coach and mentor • Are relentlessly consumer-driven • Have experience across DTC, online, and retail channels • Understand digital marketing, eCommerce, and conversion • Are humble, values-led, and excited to grow a business with meaning • Can lead acquisition, retention, and conversion across DTC, Amazon, and retail 🛠️ Core Skill Stack: • Performance Marketing — Meta/Google/Amazon ads, CAC, ROAS, LTV modelling • Brand & Storytelling — Content creation, narrative, community-building • eCommerce/DTC — Shopify, CRO, subscriptions • Omnichannel Strategy — Prioritising across channels • Analytics — GA4, insight to action Bonus Points If You: • Have balanced growth and purpose-led values • Scaled a brand from niche to mainstream • Taken a brand from DTC to retail while retaining customer connection • Bring cross-sector or in-house and agency experience Ready to help millions say “I’m HeyLO!-ing it” when they want food that’s delicious AND good for them?
