About The Role
Up Learn is looking for a strategic, hands-on Head of Marketing to lead and scale our marketing function as we enter an exciting phase of growth. You'll be responsible for developing and executing our overall marketing strategy across both B2B and B2C segments, with a focus on generating demand, increasing brand awareness, and driving customer acquisition and retention.
This role reports directly into the Chief Revenue Officer.
This role is ideal for a marketing leader who combines creativity with analytical rigour, enjoys building high-performing teams, and wants to have a major impact at a mission-driven EdTech company.

About You
You are a data-driven, results-oriented marketer with a proven track record of leading and scaling marketing efforts in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. With at least 5 years of marketing experience (including team leadership), you bring a deep understanding of full-funnel marketing strategy and execution - from brand positioning to performance marketing and everything in between.
You're as comfortable setting vision and strategy as you are getting stuck into campaign execution. You thrive in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and are passionate about making a difference in education.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Leadership:
β’ Own and evolve the company's marketing strategy across B2B and B2C, aligned with company goals
β’ Lead, mentor and grow a high-performing marketing team across content, digital, CRM, and partnerships
β’ Work closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to drive alignment and deliver results
Brand & Messaging:
β’ Define and elevate Up Learn's brand identity, positioning, and messaging across all channels
β’ Ensure consistency of voice and tone across marketing touchpoints
Demand Generation & Growth:
β’ Oversee and execute lead generation across paid and organic channels including SEO, PPC, social, and email
β’ Develop and optimise customer acquisition and retention campaigns (B2B and B2C)
β’ Use A/B testing, data analysis, and experimentation to improve conversion rates and ROI
Content & Communications:
β’ Guide the development of compelling contentβfrom thought leadership to case studies and landing pages
β’ Drive marketing communications that build trust and credibility with educators, students, and parents
Marketing Operations & Analytics:
β’ Define KPIs, track performance across campaigns, and report on impact to key stakeholders
β’ Manage the marketing tech stack (including CRM, email automation, analytics tools) to improve efficiency and visibility
Requirements
β’ 5+ years' experience in marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
β’ Proven experience developing and scaling B2B and B2C marketing strategies
β’ Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to hire, coach, and develop talent
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for storytelling and brand building
β’ Deep understanding of demand generation, performance marketing, and marketing automation
β’ Strong analytical mindset, with experience using data to make decisions and optimise performance
β’ Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred), CMS platforms (WordPress), and reporting tools
β’ A collaborative, low-ego approach, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-moving environment
β’ Background in SaaS, EdTech, or startup/scale-up environments
β’ Bonus/nice to have:
β’ Experience in marketing for the UK education sector
β’ Working knowledge of SEO, PPC, and CRO best practices
