Position Overview We seek an experienced and strategic Head of Merchandising to spearhead our comprehensive merchandising operations, developing integrated portfolio strategies that connect international and domestic product lines. This leadership position will manage brand partnerships, product development, category oversight, promotional campaigns, and international operational coordination across digital and physical retail channels. The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge of both international beauty trends and the North American beauty landscape, with demonstrated ability to adapt global initiatives for local market success. Primary Responsibilities Beauty Portfolio Management • Partner with international headquarters and domestic teams to build robust international beauty brand collections and product pipelines • Direct exclusive product launches for the North American market, including promotional bundles, limited collections, and seasonal offerings • Manage procurement processes and domestic sourcing timelines to maintain optimal inventory levels • Coordinate merchandising initiatives with internal teams and external partners • Analyze and report on key merchandising campaign performance indicators Digital Commerce Operations • Act as primary contact between headquarters and domestic merchandising teams for seamless collaboration • Support compliance requirements including regulatory adherence and supply chain logistics • Contribute to domestic digital platform development, focusing on user experience enhancements and feature optimization • Work with global merchandising teams on new brand integration processes Merchandising Strategy & Analytics • Create and implement localized merchandising approaches aligned with global brand vision across all sales channels • Discover emerging growth opportunities through trend analysis and market research • Examine sales performance data across channels and locations to develop strategic recommendations • Monitor and enhance merchandising and marketing campaign effectiveness • Support business expansion efforts including strategic partnership development Retail Expansion & Operations • Oversee comprehensive planning for new location launches, including space planning and visual merchandising coordination • Enhance in-store customer experience through localized product curation and service improvements • Coordinate cross-departmental collaboration between headquarters and local operations teams Brand Partnership Development • Build and manage domestic brand portfolio consistent with company merchandising vision and market dynamics • Lead brand outreach, presentation, and partnership establishment processes • Supervise inventory management and ordering cycles for domestic brand partnerships • Evaluate brand performance metrics and develop collaborative promotional strategies • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with industry partners Campaign Development & Management • Create market-specific promotional campaigns utilizing both global and local intellectual properties • Collaborate with brand partners and marketing teams on joint promotional initiatives • Modify campaign strategies based on market insights and consumer patterns • Coordinate product launches and marketing activities with seasonal events and brand activations Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Merchandising, or equivalent field • Minimum 10 years of merchandising, purchasing, or category management experience within beauty or retail sectors • Comprehensive understanding of both Asian and North American beauty markets • Proven track record in product sourcing, vendor relations, and campaign management • Excellent analytical, leadership, and interpersonal communication abilities • Experience operating in collaborative, high-velocity work environments Preferred Qualifications • Background in comprehensive category management with executive-level communication experience • Multilingual capabilities (English and Asian languages) advantageous but not mandatory • Advanced analytical proficiency including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word applications
