Role description
This is a rare opportunity to join a high-growth, cross-category online marketplace thatβs redefining how products from all industries are discovered, sold, and scaled. Operating globally in 20+ markets, the platform serves millions of consumers with an ever-expanding catalogue and now itβs time to elevate performance marketing to the next level.
Weβre looking for a Head of Performance, a data-obsessed, automation-focused digital leader who can turn marketing spend into commercial impact at scale. This is a high-ownership role, reporting directly to the CEO and playing a key role in strategic decision-making across the business.
The Head of Performance will architect and lead a global performance marketing function that blends deep channel expertise with automation, machine learning, and data science. They will move the company from an agency-led model to a fully in-house powerhouse - one built for speed, precision, and sustainable scale.
This role is ideal for someone with proven experience managing high-volume performance campaigns, building teams, and applying AI-driven strategies. This is a pivotal role for someone whoβs just as comfortable being hands-on in the data dashboards as they are in the boardroom.
The role:
β’ Lead performance marketing strategy across key platforms: Google Shopping, Bing, Paid Social (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest), Programmatic Display, YouTube, CRM, and Affiliates.
β’ Drive measurable growth through AI-powered optimisation, experimentation frameworks, and intelligent campaign automation.
β’ Work across Google Shopping, Bing, Paid Social, Display & Video and emerging platforms.
β’ Take full control of marketing attribution, incrementality testing, and campaign evaluation.
β’ Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Commercial, and Data teams to bring technical marketing initiatives to life.
β’ Oversee the transition from outsourced to fully in-house performance execution - designing new systems for agility, insight, and innovation.
β’ Regularly present performance insights, learnings, and strategic shifts to the executive leadership team.
Ideal candidate
β’ A proven background in leading performance marketing in high-scale ecommerce or marketplace businesses.
β’ Highly experienced in Google Shopping, product feed optimisation, and automated campaign workflows.
β’ Deep knowledge of data-driven marketing, including ML model activation, signal enrichment, and predictive targeting.
β’ Experience managing or collaborating with technical marketers, data scientists, or engineers.
β’ Ability to thrive in complex datasets.
β’ Track record of working with modern marketing stacks and tools including GCP, BigQuery, Looker Studio, SQL, and advanced analytics platforms.
β’ A fast-moving, test-and-learn mentality with a strong focus on measurable results
Please note due to high volumes of applications unfortunately we are not always able to respond to all unsuccessful applicants. However we wish everyone who applies the very best with their job search.
