Role description
Our Role
As Head of Production & Creative Operations, you will be a dynamic, operationally strong, and solutions-focused leader with deep expertise in studio production and creative operations. You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of stills and video creative assets: from the moment a brief enters the studio, through to resourcing, scheduling, shoot execution, post-production and final output.
You’ll lead a busy, high-performing production and creative ops team: overseeing daily production needs as well as driving operational excellence. You will be accountable for ensuring briefs across our Home and Clothing businesses are strategically filtered, expertly scoped, scalable, and delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest creative standards.
Reporting into the Chief Creative Officer, you’ll partner closely with the Head of Creative, Brand Marketing, and Buying and Merchandising teams to bring our brand to life through seamless studio processes and efficient content creation. Your leadership will be instrumental in setting the pace, standard, and efficiency of how contemporary, elevated, multimedia creative is produced at scale for our brand.
This is a pivotal role that blends planning, people leadership, production management, and process innovation: ensuring our creative studio and production team are primed to deliver best-in-class content for our channels and ambitions.
What you'll be doing
• Lead and direct a team to produce our stills and motion shoots: including fashion, still life, and campaign content, on location and in studio, to ensure creative integrity and brand consistency.
• Partner with Creative, Brand Marketing and Buying teams to translate business strategy across fashion and interiors into compelling visual content across all major platforms
• Manage and inspire a multidisciplinary team including producers, editors, stylists, photographers, videographers, asset managers and freelance partners
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing studio culture, providing guidance, structure, and growth opportunities
• Oversee all production workflows, schedules, critical paths, and resourcing plans across campaign and BAU work
• Lead the development of production bibles, toolkits, and agile pre-to-post production planning for delivering seasonal content
• Own and manage shoot budgets, vendor contracts, and freelancer negotiations, ensuring cost control and quality
• Maintain and grow a network of trusted industry professionals (photographers, filmmakers, stylists, HMU artists, post-production partners)
• Develop and implement best-in-class creative operations frameworks to ensure scalable, efficient delivery
• Champion the use of tools (e.g., Asana, AI) and reporting dashboards to drive transparency and accountability
• Act as a strategic partner to Marketing, E-commerce, Buying, and Digital teams to align content with seasonal and trading goals
• Support intake, interrogation and prioritisation of briefs to ensure clarity and resource alignment against business requirements
• Ensure content meets the highest standards of craft, brand tone, and platform relevance (web, app, social, email, in-store, print, DM, PR)
• Stay informed of cultural, visual, and digital trends to guide teams and evolve production approaches
What Skills & Experience You’ll Need
• Extensive leadership experience in creative production and studio operations within a fashion, retail, or luxury brand
• Strong track record managing integrated teams and delivering high-volume content across channels, with strong understanding of integrated shoots (stills, film and social as standard)
• Proven ability to lead both the shoot production and operational aspects of production at scale (creating best in class process for pre-production planning, shoot production and robust post-production planning and trafficking)
• Strong eye for visual storytelling and contemporary image-making techniques that scale
• Proficient in project management, scheduling, and asset management platforms
• Confident in budget management, vendor negotiations, bookings and commercial prioritisation
• Exceptional communicator and team builder, with a calm and solution-oriented approach
