Role description
Founded in 2014 by Jerome Jacques Marie Mage, Jacques Marie Mage is a Los Angeles-based producer of limited-edition designer goods specializing in the micro-production of luxury eyewear for a clientele of discerning tastes. Role Overview Reporting to the Global VP of Sales, the Head of Resale will manage the process and workflow of JMM’s buy-back program. Key Responsibilities Your responsibilities are – but are not limited to: β€’ Create, oversee, and manage development of E-Commerce platform to be used for buying and selling of previously owned Jacques Marie Mage pieces. β€’ Work alongside cross functional partners to source and buy second hand Jacques Marie Mage pieces including establishing pricing strategy to meet profitability targets. β€’ Review and maintain product data files while tracking and identifying needs. β€’ Design and develop secondary market strategy in alignment with Jacques Marie Mage’s business and growth objectives and take full ownership of its execution. β€’ Maintain and update product information, inventory, and pricing. β€’ Analyze and review data and metrics to enhance selling features, identify gaps between demand and our assortment. β€’ Work alongside Head Curator and VP of Global Sales to develop and build out a consignment program. β€’ Able to identify market trends to serve as pricing expert. β€’ Identify and manage business opportunities/risks within existing/new agreements. β€’ Develop negotiation strategies for supply agreements aligned with business goals. Key Requirements β€’ Relevant bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience β€’ 3+ years of experience in luxury retail consignment with major business functions including product management, merchandising, or pricing. β€’ Industry knowledge, serve as market expert for this business area. β€’ Proven ability to grow a category and bring creativity and passion to market. β€’ Must have good written and oral communication skills across multiple disciplines β€’ Have the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently while meeting aggressive deadlines. β€’ Exhibit a can-do attitude, be self-motivated and assist other cross-functional roles within the organization β€’ Strong follow-through and teamwork skills β€’ Experience in consumer products is a plus β€’ Growth mindset and enthusiasm for learning new tools and problem solving.
