Who We’re Sniffing For As the International Marketing Executive, alongside the International Marketing Manager, you'll be responsible for driving BARK’s brand presence across global markets outside North America. You’ll support marketing efforts across social, retail, influencer, content, and PR - while also working closely with our global distribution partners to execute impactful local campaigns. This is a hands-on, collaborative role that blends strategic thinking with creative execution. KEY DUTIES • International Distributor Marketing • Collaborate with BARK’s global distributors to develop and activate market-specific marketing plans • Ensure consistency of brand messaging while adapting for local relevance • Support distributor needs across digital and retail marketing • Provide toolkits, creative assets, and ongoing guidance for campaign execution • Track campaign performance and deliver post-campaign reports • Social Media Management • Manage international social media accounts (BARK.UK and BARK.DE), including planning, scheduling, publishing, and reporting • Support community engagement and platform growth by responding to comments and fostering interaction • Align content strategy with global campaigns and key cultural moments • Form partnerships with value aligned brands to expand reach and create collaborative content opportunities • Influencer & Creator Relations • Identify and onboard suitable influencers in international markets • Manage communications, negotiate partnerships, and coordinate send-outs • Track performance and report on influencer ROI • Content Creation • Lead and support the creation of dynamic and engaging content tailored to international audiences • Concept, film, and edit short-form video content including Instagram Reels and TikTok’s, aligning with platform trends and brand tone • Plan and run content shoot days, ensuring all assets meet brand standards • Create and adapt content for use across social media, email campaigns and retailer promotions • Collaborate with internal teams and creative partners to deliver localised content that resonates in each market • Retailer Marketing Support • Assist in executing retailer marketing strategies in international territories • Brief creative teams and liaise with Product/Sourcing to fulfil marketing needs • Deliver digital and physical assets to retail partners and ensure timely rollout • PR & Media Coordination • Coordinate with PR agencies in key international markets • Ensure PR agencies have the necessary product stock and samples to support placements and outreach in international markets • TikTok Shop Support • Assist with TikTok Shop execution and product listings in supported markets, through agency collaboration • Paid Social Advertising • Write creative briefs for user-generated content (UGC) from influencers • Deliver briefs and collaborate with the digital team for META and other ad platforms • International Trade & Consumer Shows • Support the planning and execution of international trade and consumer shows across Europe, working closely with the International Marketing Manager and Sales team • Coordinate event materials, samples, and marketing assets tailored for each market • Attend trade shows as a brand representative, helping to showcase the BARK brand to retail buyers, distributors, and customers • Product & Packaging Review • Support final proofing and approvals for international product packaging and marketing assets • Help ensure content is appropriate and correctly localised for each market • Reporting & Analysis • Contribute to monthly reporting across markets, including performance tracking for content, influencer, retailer, and distributor activity • Analyse insights to inform future strategy • Budget Management • Track global marketing spend and ensure campaigns remain within budget • Monitor ROI and provide recommendations for optimisation • Website Maintenance (UK) • Manage and update content on uk.bark.co, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with current campaigns and promotions • Collaborate with internal teams to upload new products, update imagery, and maintain seasonal messaging • Monitor site performance and user experience, flagging any issues or opportunities for improvement Experience • 2–4 years of experience in marketing, ideally within a consumer goods, lifestyle, or pet brand • Experience working across international markets or with global distributors a strong plus Skills & Qualifications • A creative thinker with a data-driven mindset and a passion for content • Meticulous attention to detail, especially when reviewing creative assets, copy, and product information • Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across cultures and teams • Skilled with tools like Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, Shopify, Meta Business Suite, TikTok, email platforms (e.g., Klaviyo), and scheduling tools (e.g. Later) • Willingness to travel internationally, particularly within Europe, to attend trade shows and support distributor or retailer activations, and must hold a valid passport • Bonus: Multilingual or prior international marketing experience Commitment to Innovation: BARK is dedicated to being at the forefront of artificial intelligence and is committed to driving advancements in this field.
