Job Summary:
Gametime is a company focused on uniting the world through shared live experiences by providing a platform for discovering and accessing events. They are seeking a Frontend Engineer with SEO exposure to enhance their web platform's visibility and growth through technical initiatives, improving organic acquisition and performance.
Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the development of SEO-friendly, performant web features using React and server-side rendering frameworks (e.g., Express, Remix, or Next.js).
• Help implement and maintain structured data, canonical tags, metadata, internal linking, and other core SEO elements across pages.
• Assist in improving Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP, TTI) through collaboration with senior engineers and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with marketing and product to integrate headless CMS content (e.g., ButterCMS) into server-rendered or statically-generated pages.
• Help monitor and debug SEO issues using tools like Google Search Console, Lighthouse, and Screaming Frog.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and team discussions to improve code quality and maintainability.
• Support experimentation and A/B testing of SEO or content-driven changes.
• Learn and apply best practices for technical SEO and scalable web architecture with mentorship from senior engineers.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 2–4 years of experience building modern web applications with React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Familiarity with SSR concepts and frameworks like Express, Remix, or Next.js.
• Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and semantic markup best practices.
• Exposure to or interest in technical SEO (structured data, meta tags, sitemaps, canonicalization).
• Some experience improving frontend performance and Core Web Vitals (especially LCP and CLS).
• Comfort working with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern build tools like Vite, Webpack, or Parcel.
• Collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn from others.
• Clear communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with product, design, and marketing.
Preferred:
• Experience integrating with headless CMS platforms.
• Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog).
• Previous work in e-commerce, marketplaces, or other SEO-driven environments.
