Junior Website Design Project Manager Day rate: £170 p/day Inside IR35 Start date: ASAP Contract length: 12 months Office days: 3 days a week in Surrey office PURPOSE OF THE JOB Overall ownership of delivery by managing either in-house projects or through partners, within defined timelines and budgets. Must have strong experience in Change Management and Vendor Management. You will be working on Website Accessibility projects to ensure the consumer website is in line with regulations. A strong background within Website Design, UX/UI/CX or Digital Accessibility is preferred! MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES • Review projects (partner-led or in-house) and engage the relevant business stakeholders • Publish and implement Quarterly Business Reviews with partners • Conduct proactive, weekly project reviews to anticipate and mitigate risks—beyond managing by exception • Manage the people supply chain: identify key roles proactively and collaborate with the PMO team to improve delivery methodologies and documentation WHAT DO WE NEED FOR THIS ROLE? • Extensive experience using Agile/Sprints and a product (MVP)-centric approach • A proven track record of driving innovation within teams • Strong team player, comfortable working in cross-functional and distributed teams; experience with virtual teams is a plus • Strong analytical skills to understand complex issues and propose effective solutions • Excellent communication skills including stakeholder management, negotiation, facilitation, and influencing, with strong active listening abilities • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA is preferred WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE? • Objective review of programs and projects with proactive risk and dependency management • Ensure compliance and 100% adherence to contracts through quarterly audits • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing abilities—being customer-focused • Successfully manage and prioritize a portfolio of multiple projects • Work effectively both independently and within teams • Exhibit drive, enthusiasm, and passion for digital and eCommerce initiatives KEY LIAISONS • Global and regional headquarters • Subsidiary and local business stakeholders DIMENSIONS • Maintain strong relationships with all key internal and external contacts • Approx. number of communication partners: 30 • Approx. number of regional subsidiaries supported: 18 across Europe EDUCATION • Educated to degree level or equivalent SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES Essential • Strong business acumen • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with HQ and external partners • Flexible and adaptable to change • Experience in delivery excellence, managed services, and development projects • Experience in people management • Strong customer engagement and relationship-building skills Advantageous • Proficiency in a local European language EXPERIENCE Essential • 2+ years of concentrated experience in eCommerce or retail environments Advantageous • Deep familiarity with enterprise IT platforms and business processes • 5+ years in project management/vendor management with strong knowledge of QMS systems HOURS OF WORK 37.5-hour work week. Some evening and weekend work may be required during emergencies or major project deliveries.
