Lead Developer – Hybrid (Huddersfield) Permanent | Competitive Salary + Benefits We’re looking for a highly capable Lead Developer to take ownership of core platform areas, drive technical quality, and mentor a growing team. Laravel is a priority - you should be operating at around a 4/5 proficiency level - with a strong full-stack background and experience delivering in fast-paced, commercial environments, ideally ecommerce. Key Responsibilities • Oversee day-to-day priorities, ensuring the team delivers high-quality, on-time solutions • Design, build, and refine robust PHP/Laravel applications • Optimise database performance and structure (MySQL & MS SQL Server) • Manage deployments and infrastructure across AWS, DigitalOcean, or Azure • Work closely with in-house and offshore developers to keep projects moving • Provide occasional out-of-hours support when required (rare) Skills & Experience • Expert PHP/Laravel capabilities with large-scale application experience • Strong knowledge of MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server • Proven track record in technical leadership and team mentoring • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments • Ecommerce experience preferred What’s on offer • Hybrid working with a collaborative, supportive team • Lead the technical evolution of a growing ecommerce platform • Competitive salary plus benefits: free parking, pension, enhanced parental leave, and professional growth opportunities Location: Hybrid – Huddersfield (Monday–Friday, 08:30–17:00)
