Role description
Join us at Clarks, where we’ve been creating quality footwear for over 200 years. We’re looking for an inspiring Lead Insight & CRO Specialist - eCommerce to join one of our team and deliver an exceptional shopping experience to our customers. About the role A data-driven, curious, and detail-oriented CRO specialist to help optimize our ecommerce experiences and improve conversion rates across our online channels. This role combines analytical skills, creative problem-solving, and user-centric thinking to identify opportunities, design A/B tests, in order to deliver a measurable business impact. Bring a fresh, strategic perspective to challenge existing assumptions and evolve performance thinking. This role will maintain all ecommerce performance reporting/dashboards (to a high level of accuracy) and lead on the development and implementation of a robust CRO framework – providing data led interpretation of ecommerce funnel/conversion performance and then outlining proposed key actions at each stage of the conversion funnel - identifying conversion barriers and delivering data-led insights that enable the trading team to optimize the onsite experience. What you’ll do Research & Analysis • Ownership of funnel performance analysis to identify user drop-off points / friction areas. • Ongoing analysis of website performance (using content square) and funnel performance (GA4) • Identify conversion bottlenecks and behavioural patterns – with a data driven approach. • Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking to identify best practices/testing opportunities. • Proactively identify new growth opportunities based on user behaviour and emerging trends. Experimentation & Testing • Design, implement, and manage A/B tests, multivariate tests, and personalization experiments. • Collaborate with trading, design/developers and marketing teams to build / deploy test variants. • Monitor tests, validate results statistically, and present findings with actionable recommendations. Strategy & Optimization • Develop CRO roadmaps aligned with commercial goals – and aim of improving conversion • Recommend and prioritize optimization initiatives based on impact, effort, and data insights – working collaboration with trading function and PO team (who manage CICD backlog) • Working with the FED team - support the creation of wireframes, and mock-ups for test ideas. Reporting & Communication • Deliver actionable, insight-driven recommendations (and regular reports on test performance) aligned with business KPIs, not just reporting outputs. • Translate complex data into clear, concise narratives for stakeholders. Advocate for data-informed decision-making across teams What you’ll bring • Excellent and proven analytical experience with ability to read, understand, analyze, and act on all business reports • Experience in designing, building, and maintaining analytical and reporting solutions • Excellent and proven experience of managing a CRO programme of work (using Content Square and a variety of A/B testing platforms) within a retail, ecommerce environment • Solid statistical and mathematical capability. • Exceptional levels of accuracy when working with data. • Proficiency across multiple BI / technical platforms, such as Excel, Power BI, PowerApps, SAP Hana, IBM Analytics, GA4, Content Square and a variety of AB testing platforms. • Excellent understanding of all ecommerce channel dynamics and financial levers. • Excellent verbal and visual communication skills, and experience in delivering analytical training to wider audiences. • Experience of working in cross functional, multi-disciplinary teams. • Experience of working with trading, development and product owner teams Why join us? At Clarks, you’ll be part of a brand with heritage, craftsmanship, and style at its core. We offer great training, career progression, and the chance to make your mark in a global business.
