Lead Technical Architect – Dynamics 365 F&O and Commerce Must be based in the United Kingdom No sponsorship can be offered D365 F&O, Finance, Commerce, Retail, POS We are looking for a highly skilled Dynamics 365 F&O and Commerce Technical Lead to join a dynamic ERP and retail technology team. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, responsible for defining the platform architecture, driving high-quality solution delivery, and mentoring a team of developers to implement innovative D365 solutions across Finance, Operations, and Retail modules. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, seamless integrations, and robust technical design, enabling the business and clients to achieve maximum efficiency across commerce and operational processes. Key Responsibilities • Lead technical design and architecture for D365 F&O and Commerce solutions. • Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and high-quality solution delivery. • Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability. • Oversee integrations with e-commerce platforms, POS systems, payment gateways, CRM systems, and logistics providers. • Mentor and develop the technical skills of team members. • Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and provide expert guidance to the development team. • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and updates in the D365 F&O and Commerce ecosystem. • Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business requirements. Skills & Experience • 12+ years of experience implementing or developing Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations solutions. • Strong technical expertise in D365 F&O architecture, Commerce / Retail modules, and POS systems. • Programming skills: X++, C#, APIs, integrations. • Experience with performance tuning, scalability, and system optimization. • Track record of technical leadership, mentoring, and team guidance. • Knowledge of ERP processes (finance, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay) is advantageous. • Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure) and DevOps practices is a plus. • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
