Position Summary: The Marketing Data Validation & Analytics Specialist will be a technically skilled and detail-oriented individual responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and usability of marketing event data and analytics outputs. This role serves as the business-side owner of data integrity, conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) on data pipelines, event tracking, and related dashboards to ensure they are accurate and meet the marketing team’s requirements.
This is a remote position.
Responsibilities
• Site Event Data Validation & Governance
• Audits, validates, and helps standardize site event tracking to ensure consistent definitions.
• Conducts UAT on site event data pipelines and dashboards, confirming outputs meet marketing’s needs.
• Partners with developers on event instrumentation, validating implementation against business requirements.
• General Data Validation & Governance
• Performs UAT on various data sets and sources as needed.
• Validates implementations align to KPI definitions and reporting dashboards to confirm business alignment.
• Collaborates with development and product teams to enforce event and reporting standards.
• Analytics & Reporting
• Runs quarterly Marketing Mix Models using Meta’s Robyn R package, selecting and validating final outputs.
• Handles ad hoc data requests requiring advanced SQL/Python
• Documentation & Process
• Establishes marketing-side UAT and validation processes for event and analytics data.
• Maintains documentation to ensure processes are transparent, repeatable, and scalable.
• Monitors data quality in production dashboards and escalate issues proactively.
What You Need
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Statistics, or a related field required.
• 4–6+ years of experience in data analytics, data QA, or a similar role, ideally in a marketing or e-commerce environment.
• Advanced SQL and Python for data processing.
• Familiarity with marketing/e-commerce data and attribution models.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Snowflake, BigQuery) and BI tools.
• Hands-on experience with GA4 event data, or other click event data sources, and digital instrumentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
