Marketing Operations Manager II Location: San Diego, CA OR Mountain View, CA Workplace Type: Onsite Employment Type: Contract (8 months) Industry: E-commerce, Marketing, Operations Summary: We are looking for a Marketing Operations Manager II for an 8-month contract position. The successful candidate will have 3+ years of experience in an operational or data-driven role within an e-commerce or marketing operations environment. This role requires advanced Excel skills, intermediate SQL experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. The Manager will be responsible for executing promotions, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities: • Execute and administer daily Pricing, Promotions, and Vouchers, performing thorough quality assurance and audit compliance checks. • Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Commerce systems. • Analyze, translate, and leverage data to generate insights for business decisions and proposals. • Collaborate effectively with team members, particularly during peak seasons. • Ensure end-to-end quality control and troubleshooting of the customer experience, from advertising to in-product pricing. • Adapt quickly to changes and new updates for marketing campaigns, price tests, and seasonal promotions. • Proactively identify risks, determine root causes, and take decisive action. • Partner with key stakeholders, including engineering teams, marketers, PMs, and UX teams, to solve complex projects. • Contribute to Commerce solutions by providing input on requirements, design, testing, and communication. • Identify opportunities to improve processes and recommend automation, including leveraging AI. Requirements: • 3+ years of experience in a data-driven or operational role in e-commerce, with experience in pricing and promotions. • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPS, Pivot tables, Macros). • Intermediate SQL experience for self-service and ad-hoc reporting. • Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision. • Experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. • Strong attention to detail and process-oriented. • Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills. • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. • Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Marketing, PM, UX). • Experience working with teams across multiple time zones. • Experience leveraging AI for process efficiency. • Education: Degree in Business, Marketing, or Operations. Preferred skills: • Familiarity with Jira, SFDC, CODA, Smartsheet, QuickBase, Tableau. • Experience with data visualization. • General understanding of enterprise-level billing systems.
