Role description
Welcome to StoreLab! Who are we? We’re a young, ambitious Shopify Growth Service, launched in 2020 and set for significant growth in 2025 and beyond. Our mission is to make e-commerce growth simple for Shopify SMEs through expert performance marketing, creative and strategic services - alongside our proprietary mobile app builder. Who are you? We’re looking for a Midweight Designer to join our growing creative team and play a key role in bringing campaigns and content to life for our clients and internal team. You’ll be responsible for designing static assets across social ads, email, and landing pages - working closely with our Account Managers to ensure every asset is visually striking, brand-aligned, and conversion-focused. From ad creatives to product pages, you’ll turn briefs into beautiful, high-performing designs that help brands grow. You’ll also work on our internal campaigns, having the ability to create simple, hand-drawn illustrations to support our own company growth. This role is ideal for a designer who enjoys variety - balancing quick-turnaround performance assets with thoughtful brand design and marketing content. You’ll have experience designing for both digital and web, strong visual taste, and an ability to write sharp copy that supports your visuals. You’ll also bring curiosity and experimentation to the role, staying up to date with AI tools, design trends, and new formats that can help us work smarter and produce even better results. If you love design, understand the connection between visuals and performance, and want to work in a collaborative, high-growth environment, we’d love to hear from you. Must-Have Skills and Experience • Proven experience designing for digital platforms - including meta ads, email, and web • A strong portfolio of static creative work, showcasing both brand and performance-led design • Experience designing for e-commerce, with an understanding of layout, hierarchy, and conversion principles • Confident using Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent tools to produce branded visuals • Excellent copywriting skills - able to write headlines, ad copy, and CTAs that complement your designs • Able to balance creativity with commercial goals designing assets that look great and convert better • Comfortable working across multiple projects, briefs, and timelines • Attention to detail and a high standard for visual consistency • A collaborative attitude and strong communication skills • Interest in new design trends, AI tools, and automation with a mindset of continual improvement Bonus If You Have • Experience working in an agency or across multiple brands • Familiarity with Shopify or similar e-commerce tools • Experience creating simple motion graphics (e.g. animated ads or social posts) • Understanding of UX/UI principles for landing pages or mobile apps • Experience working alongside paid media or performance marketing teams • Coding experience to enhance our landing page and email offering Some Specifics • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent • Start Date: 2025 • Holiday: Unlimited • Salary: £35-45K (depending on experience) • Location: Flexible/Hybrid. We have team days in our London office twice a month for collaboration, socialising, and onboarding. The account management has been known to come in more often on an ad-hoc basis. • Right to Work: While we hope to sponsor the right people and roles in the future, we are currently not set up to do so. Please only apply if you have the right to work in the UK for at least the next 12 months. Culture & DEI Statement At StoreLab, we are committed to building a culture where everyone belongs. We believe that having a diverse team is key to our success and innovation. StoreLab continually invests in and reflects on how we can further promote our diverse culture, creating a space where all feel safe, seen, and supported. Interview Process We aim to progress quickly and efficiently through 3 interview stages: • Initial Screening Call – A 30-minute conversation with our Head of Marketing to learn more about the company and role, as well as for us to learn about your experience, interests, and career goals. • Competency-Based Interview – A deeper dive into your experience and expertise with our Lead Designer, coupled with a short task mimicking a potential real life situation. 30-45 minutes. • “Who” & Culture Round – A final chat with our CEO and your potential team members to ensure a good fit for both sides. 60 minutes.
