Job Description We’re seeking a Senior Merchandiser with a strong background in retail apparel and a passion for product and performance. This role is responsible for leading merchandising strategies across e-commerce, wholesale, and retail channels. The ideal candidate will turn customer and sales insights into actionable strategies, build compelling product assortments, and drive both sales and margin growth. You will oversee assortments across all three channels, ensuring each is tailored to customer needs, aligned with the brand, and optimized for profitability. What You’ll Do: • Strategically manage product assortments across the company’s three primary channels: e-commerce, wholesale, and retail. • Accountable for sales performance, margin optimization, and inventory levels by product class across all core channels. • Monitor sell-through rates and analyze historical data to apply forecasting techniques that enhance inventory turnover across e-commerce, wholesale, and retail channels. • Collaborate with buying teams to ensure assortment selections align with business financial objectives and customer demand. • Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver performance updates, including sales recaps, insights, retrospective analyses, and recommendations on pricing and markdown strategies to drive profitability. • Create and manage seasonal merchandise and open-to-buy (OTB) plans aligned with financial goals, including sales, intake, and inventory forecasts by category and department. • Conduct regular performance reporting using tools like DOMO, Teamwork, and Centric, including post-season analyses to guide future planning decisions. • Collaborate with inventory planning, design, and marketing teams to support the development of cohesive, consumer-focused assortments. What We’re Looking For • Over 7 years of merchandising experience in the apparel industry, with a strong focus on omnichannel retail strategy, including 5+ years of hands-on Open-to-Buy (OTB) planning and 5+ years of buying experience. • Strong understanding of the Hawaii market and local consumer preferences. • Demonstrated buying expertise, with the ability to manage cross-channel assortments and a clear understanding of product life cycles and their business implications. • Proficient in Open-to-Buy (OTB) planning and management to support inventory and financial goals. • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams. • Highly analytical, with advanced proficiency in Excel and key performance indicators (KPIs); skilled at translating complex data into actionable insights and presenting findings clearly through visual storytelling in PowerPoint. • Strong visual merchandising acumen—you understand how physical space and storytelling drive retail success.
