Role description
Be the 2nd Onboarding Hire in the UK at a Fast-Scaling Ecommerce SaaS
If you’re an implementation or onboarding specialist who loves building processes, working directly with merchants, and delivering “aha” moments - this is your seat at the table.
You’ll join as the second onboarding specialist in the UK, shaping how we activate, educate, and scale merchants across ecommerce and marketplace channels.
About the Company (You’ll Be a Foundational Onboarding Hire)
Our client is a fast-growing, product-led SaaS helping ecommerce brands automate and scale across marketplaces and DTC.
The platform connects everything from order management, inventory, and shipping to channel listings, automations, and analytics, with 1,300+ integrations, including Amazon, eBay, Shopify, WooCommerce, Etsy, DHL, FedEx, and QuickBooks.
They’re already trusted by 15,000+ brands across Europe, with deep traction across Poland and Germany, and now investing heavily into UK expansion from their new Brighton HQ.
Their vision? Become the default infrastructure layer for multi-channel ecommerce - the go-to system for merchants scaling on every major sales platform globally.
Your Mission: Turn New Customers into Confident Power Users
This is a hybrid onboarding + implementation role focused on merchants doing £1M–£10M in GMV. Your job? Help them land well, adopt fast, and get early wins with the product.
You’ll translate merchant pain into workflows, train users, configure their integrations, and hand them over to Customer Success fully activated and happy.
What Success Looks Like
In the First 6 Months, You’ll:
• Lead onboarding for Tier 1 UK-based merchants, from handover to activation
• Build repeatable onboarding workflows, documentation, and playbooks
• Work closely with product and support to resolve early-stage friction
• Reduce time-to-value and improve onboarding CSAT
By the End of Year 1, You’ll Have:
• Built an onboarding engine that can scale with the UK merchant base
• Created internal training docs, customer-facing enablement, and implementation guides
• Contributed to a drop in onboarding churn and support tickets
• Been a key voice in product feedback and post-sale improvements
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have Experience:
• 1+ years onboarding or implementation experience in SaaS or tech
• Background in ecommerce, logistics, or marketplace technology
• Strong client-facing skills, able to lead calls and workshops with merchants
• Tech-savvy - able to work with integrations, APIs, or ecommerce tools
• Comfortable running multiple projects in parallel and keeping customers on track
• Experience with tools like HubSpot, JIRA, Intercom, or Notion
• Passion for process improvement, enablement, and customer education
Key Details
Location: Brighton HQ (Hybrid, 2-4 days/week)
Base Salary: £35K–£40K (depending on experience) + Bonus
Reports to: Director of Product (UK)
