Role description
NOTE: This is a 6-month, full-time contractor role with the possibility of converting to a full-time employee.
If you thrive in a fast-moving, client-facing role where no two days look the same, this opportunity is for you. We’re seeking a Paid Search & Programmatic Strategist with 2+ years of experience to join our rapidly growing team during an exciting Q4 expansion. This 6-month contract-to-hire role focuses on the strategic development and hands-on execution of high-performing campaigns across Google Ads, StackAdapt, and programmatic platforms, with strong analytics support through GA4. You’ll partner directly with clients and internal teams to scale performance, optimize media spend, and deliver measurable results across the funnel — with a strong emphasis on eCommerce growth and higher education clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and execute full-funnel Programmatic and Paid Search strategies, including prospecting, retargeting, eCommerce performance, and lead generation campaigns.
• Build, manage, and optimize campaigns in Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube, Performance Max, Dem Gen) and Programmatic DSPs (StackAdapt, The Trade Desk, etc.)
• Partner directly with clients to understand goals, present strategies, and clearly communicate results and next steps.
• Leverage GA4 and GTM to track and analyze user behavior, troubleshoot attribution, and deliver actionable insights.
• Build, write, and present clear, client-ready performance reports that highlight campaign impact, revenue growth, and optimization opportunities.
• Analyze performance data across platforms to provide strategic recommendations that improve efficiency (CPC, CTR, CVR, ROAS, AOV).
• Support creative testing and collaborate with internal teams to identify messaging and ad formats that drive results.
• Stay current with Google Ads updates, programmatic innovations, and emerging digital trends to enhance campaign performance.
• Recommend innovative tactics, tools, or optimizations that improve results and streamline workflows.
Qualifications:
• Strong understanding of Google Ads; experience with programmatic DSPs (The Trade Desk, StackAdapt, etc.) is a plus.
• Proficiency with GA4, GTM, and event-based tracking (purchase, lead form, checkout, etc.).
• Proven experience driving eCommerce performance (conversion-focused, ROAS-driven strategies).
• Demonstrated ability to communicate directly with clients and present complex data in a clear, compelling way.
• Experience creating and delivering client-facing reports with actionable insights.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and juggle multiple accounts with shifting priorities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a performance-first mindset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in client-facing settings.
• Bonus: Prior higher education marketing experience or familiarity with complex multi-stakeholder accounts.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in Paid Search campaign management
• Programmatic advertising experience is a plus, but not required.
• Prior experience working with eCommerce clients, higher ed or conversion-focused accounts.
• Strong organizational skills and comfort working in a fast-moving agency environment.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with a hunger to test, learn, and adapt quickly.
