Role description
The Paid Shopping Manager will lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of paid shopping campaigns across Google and Microsoft platforms, primarily managed through SA360. This role combines strategic channel management with hands-on campaign optimization, overseeing product feed management, bid strategies, and cross-platform performance. The position requires expertise in SA360 platform management, advanced analytics, and team leadership while maintaining active involvement in day-to-day campaign operations and channel strategy development. Key Responsibilities Strategic Channel Management: • Develop and execute comprehensive paid shopping strategies across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising platforms • Lead channel expansion initiatives, evaluating new shopping platforms and opportunities for growth • Establish performance benchmarks, KPIs, and measurement frameworks for shopping campaigns • Collaborate with senior leadership to align shopping strategies with broader business objectives and growth targets • Drive cross-channel attribution analysis and budget allocation optimization SA360 Platform Management • Serve as the primary SA360 expert, managing all shopping campaigns through the platform • Optimize SA360 configurations, automated bidding strategies, and cross-platform reporting • Implement advanced SA360 features including floodlight tracking, audience targeting, and automated rules • Maintain SA360 integrations with Google Merchant Center, Microsoft Merchant Center, and other data sources • Troubleshoot platform issues and coordinate with SA360 support as needed Campaign Strategy & Optimization • Oversee shopping campaign performance across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising platforms • Develop and implement advanced bidding strategies, including Smart Bidding and automated bid management • Lead product feed strategy and optimization initiatives to maximize visibility and performance • Analyze campaign performance data to identify growth opportunities and optimization areas • Manage campaign budgets, pacing, and resource allocation across channels Team Leadership & Development • Manage and mentor the Senior Paid Search Specialist (Shopping Ads) and other team members • Provide strategic guidance on campaign optimization, feed management, and platform best practices • Conduct regular performance reviews and professional development planning • Foster a data-driven culture within the team and promote continuous learning Advanced Analytics & Reporting • Utilize advanced SQL, Python, or R for complex data analysis and campaign optimization • Create executive-level dashboards and reports showcasing shopping campaign performance and ROI • Implement advanced attribution modeling and incrementality testing • Lead data integration projects connecting shopping performance with broader business metrics Cross-Functional Collaboration • Partner with product and eCommerce teams to ensure feed accuracy and product catalog optimization • Work with creative teams to develop compelling shopping ad creative and landing page experiences • Collaborate with data engineering teams on feed automation and data pipeline optimization • Coordinate with finance teams on budget planning and performance forecasting Qualifications Required: • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, or related field • 7+ years of experience managing shopping ad campaigns in Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising • 2+ years of hands-on experience with SA360 platform management and optimization • Proven track record of team leadership and management experience • Advanced proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools (Excel, Google Analytics, etc.) • Deep understanding of Google Merchant Center and Microsoft Merchant Center • Experience with feed management platforms (Feedonomics, DataFeedWatch, etc.) • Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights Preferred • Advanced degree in Marketing, Analytics, or related field • Experience with Python, R, or other advanced analytics tools • Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising platform certifications • Experience with eCommerce platforms and product catalog management • Knowledge of web analytics and conversion tracking implementation • Previous experience in retail or eCommerce industry Key Skills • Strategic thinking and channel management expertise • Advanced technical skills in campaign management and optimization • Strong leadership and team development capabilities • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Data-driven decision making and problem-solving abilities • Project management and cross-functional collaboration skills Pay Range $113,500.00-$165,600.00 Annual In addition to competitive pay, we offer Paid Time Off, 401(k), an Employee Assistance Program, Good Sam Roadside Assistance, discounts, paid parental leave (if eligibility is met), Tuition Reimbursement (if eligibility is met), and on the job training opportunities.
