Role description
We are a fast-growing, digitally driven retail and e-commerce brand dedicated to delivering exceptional products and customer experiences. With a focus on quality, innovation, and performance, we leverage data-driven strategies to connect with our customers and drive sustainable growth.
We are seeking a data-driven, performance-focused Performance Marketing Manager, Affiliate & Paid Search to own two key lower-funnel channels in partnership with external agencies. This role will set the strategic direction for our affiliate and paid search programs, manage agency execution, analyze performance, and drive both revenue growth and new customer acquisition.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical rigor, proven experience managing agency relationships, and a deep understanding of scaling performance marketing in a retail/e-commerce environment.
Key Responsibilities
Affiliate Marketing
• Serve as the primary contact for our affiliate agency, ensuring goals, priorities, and timelines are clearly aligned.
• Provide strategic direction, performance targets, and optimization priorities while overseeing day-to-day execution.
• Manage the full affiliate invoicing and budget tracking process (e.g., Rakuten) for accuracy and efficiency.
• Evaluate and onboard new affiliate partners in collaboration with the agency to expand reach and improve ROAS.
Paid Search
• Oversee paid search campaigns (Google Ads, Bing) via agency partners, setting acquisition targets, budgets, and KPIs.
• Guide agency strategies on bidding, keyword selection, and ad copy to align with brand and performance standards.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, identify testing opportunities, and refine strategies for optimal results.
Cross-Channel & Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Hold agencies accountable for performance goals, reporting standards, and flawless execution.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure campaigns align with broader marketing and business objectives.
• Analyze and interpret channel data to uncover insights and recommend actionable optimizations.
Who You Are
• Experience: 1–2+ years in performance marketing, with hands-on management of affiliate and paid search channels.
• Affiliate Expertise: Proven success managing affiliate programs, preferably on Rakuten or similar platforms.
• Search Marketing Knowledge: Experience working with agencies on Google Ads and Bing campaigns.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret data, generate insights, and present findings across platforms.
• Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets, Google Analytics, Looker (or similar BI tools), and affiliate/search platforms.
• Attribution Tools: Familiarity with attribution models (MTA, last-click, data-driven); experience with MTA tool implementation is a plus.
• Budget Management: Skilled in managing budgets, invoices, and forecasts across multiple channels.
• Collaborative Mindset: Works effectively with both internal and external partners.
• Adaptable & Nimble: Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and can manage multiple priorities.
• Problem-Solver: Analytical, resourceful, and proactive in identifying solutions.
