Role description
At Manifest, our work is fueled by data, ignited by creativity and driven by results. We are a proudly independent, full-service agency represented by diverse talents, backgrounds and expertise, and we have one goal: to deliver breakthrough ideas and brand experiences that drive emotional connections and measurable impact. Let’s chat. We’re hiring a Performance Marketing Manager to drive both SEO and omnichannel paid media for several of our key accounts. This role will split responsibilities approximately 30% SEO (technical, content, and strategic optimization) and 70% paid media — with a strong emphasis on paid social across platforms such as Meta and LinkedIn, plus the ability to incorporate programmatic and paid search strategies when needed. The ideal candidate will be an SEO expert who also thrives in paid media execution and can integrate both disciplines to deliver measurable performance. Responsibilities • Lead SEO strategy and execution — including technical site audits, on-page optimization, content strategy, and link-building initiatives. • Monitor and respond to search engine algorithm updates, assessing their potential impact on client accounts. • Develop and execute paid media strategies with a primary focus on paid social (Meta, LinkedIn, and other platforms), with programmatic experience considered a plus. • Own paid search strategy and execution — including campaign structure design, query mapping, negative keyword management, and ongoing optimization to drive efficiency and growth. • Perform keyword research, audience targeting, bid strategy adjustments, A/B testing, and KPI tracking for both SEO and paid campaigns. • Leverage analytics, search behavior data, social listening, and competitive insights to inform content and campaign recommendations. • Use AI tools to enhance SEO research, content generation, and optimization processes. • Collaborate with internal teams (analytics, creative, account operations, etc.) to ensure media efforts align with broader client objectives. • Oversee cross-channel search integration — ensuring SEO and paid search efforts complement one another, minimizing cannibalization and maximizing total search visibility. • Stay ahead of industry trends and innovations — continuously evaluating new SEO techniques, paid search betas, and AI-driven tools to recommend and test opportunities for client growth. • Draft compelling ad copy, landing page content, and paid campaign messaging. • Produce regular performance reports, insights, and recommendations for clients. • Manage client communications in partnership with account and project management teams. Requirements • 3-5 years of proven experience in performance marketing, with strong SEO expertise and hands-on paid media execution. • Advanced SEO knowledge (technical + content) with a history of driving measurable results. • Paid social expertise with Meta and LinkedIn; experience with additional social platforms a plus. • Familiarity with programmatic platforms and strong paid search (SEM/PPC) experience is preferred. • Agency experience is strongly preferred. • Proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, keyword tools (SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs), and campaign management platforms. • Experience using AI tools for SEO research, analysis, and content enhancement is a plus. • Strong analytical skills, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to clearly communicate performance insights. • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. • This role is hybrid to our office in either Chicago, DC, NYC or Phoenix. What We Offer • Private Company – Being a private organization allows us to move quickly so that we can deliver our best for our teams and our clients. • Flexibility – We have a hybrid work environment and a flexible PTO plan that allows teams to take time off when they need it. • Competitive Benefits and Salary – Multiple options for health plans based on your and/or your family’s needs, plus a 401(k) match and paid parental leave.
