Position Overview: As a Pricing Analyst, you'll serve as the financial intelligence hub of our $100M+ bedding and mattress business, driving critical cost analysis and pricing decisions across our multi-platform operations. This role requires a detail-oriented financial professional who can analyze complex cost structures across 6,000+ SKUs, optimize COGS and landed costs, and provide strategic pricing recommendations across Amazon, Walmart, Target, and our direct-to-consumer website. You'll manage one direct report while serving as a trusted financial advisor to executive leadership, reporting directly to the CFO and briefing the CEO on cost optimization and international sourcing strategies. Key Responsibilities: Cost Analysis & Financial Management: • Analyze and optimize cost structures across 6,000+ SKUs including COGS, landed costs, duty calculations, and comprehensive margin analysis • Evaluate international sourcing opportunities across China, India, Pakistan, and Turkey considering tariffs, trade restrictions, freight costs, and total cost of ownership • Provide strategic financial recommendations on sourcing decisions based on comprehensive cost-benefit analysis and risk assessment • Monitor and report on profitability by channel, product line, SKU, and market segment with detailed variance analysis Advanced Financial Modeling & Analytics: • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models, pricing algorithms, and predictive analytics using Excel, SQL, and Power BI • Create executive-level financial dashboards and KPI frameworks for CFO and CEO briefings on cost performance and pricing strategy • Build and maintain complex Excel macros for automated cost reporting, pricing analysis, and international trade impact calculations • Utilize advanced analytics platforms including Snowflake for financial data modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning • Conduct detailed variance analysis and identify cost trends that impact business performance and profitability Multi-Platform Financial Intelligence & Pricing Strategy: • Analyze cost and pricing performance across owned website, Amazon, Walmart, and Target platforms • Develop and implement dynamic pricing strategies for various ecommerce marketplaces considering competitor pricing, demand elasticity, and margin optimization • Collaborate with marketing team on pricing strategy development, promotional analysis, and marketplace positioning optimization • Evaluate channel profitability with detailed cost allocation and provide recommendations for optimal resource allocation • Support competitive pricing analysis with comprehensive market research, price elasticity modeling, and revenue optimization • Track and report on international trade financial impacts including tariff changes, currency fluctuations, and supply chain cost disruptions Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration: • Manage and develop one direct report (Lead Business Analyst) focusing on financial analysis skills and cost accounting principles • Partner with operations, inventory, procurement, and finance teams to ensure cost data accuracy and strategic financial alignment • Present complex financial analysis and cost optimization findings to executive leadership with clear, actionable recommendations • Collaborate with CFO on budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and strategic financial planning initiatives Qualifications & Experience: Required Experience: • 3-5 years of financial analysis experience with increasing responsibility in cost analysis, pricing strategy, and profitability management • Proven experience managing complex cost structures and SKU portfolios (1,000+ SKUs preferred) • Background in international sourcing, supply chain cost analysis, or manufacturing cost optimization with hands-on COGS experience • Experience with ecommerce or retail operations, preferably with multi-platform cost allocation and channel profitability analysis • Team leadership experience with financial mentoring capabilities or demonstrated readiness for financial management responsibilities Technical Skills - Must Have: • Expert-level Excel proficiency including advanced financial formulas, pivot tables, complex financial modeling, and macro development for cost analysis • Advanced SQL skills for financial data extraction, cost database manipulation, and complex financial reporting • Power BI experience for financial dashboard creation, cost visualization, and executive reporting • Snowflake or similar data warehouse platforms for predictive financial modeling and advanced cost analytics • Strong experience with financial modeling, cost forecasting, pricing analysis, and margin optimization techniques International Trade & Supply Chain Financial Knowledge: • Understanding of international trade finance, tariff calculations, duty optimization, and landed cost analysis • Experience with comprehensive landed cost analysis including freight, customs, handling fees, and currency impact • Knowledge of supply chain financial risk assessment, vendor cost evaluation, and international sourcing financial models • Familiarity with import/export financial documentation, trade compliance costs, and international payment terms Preferred Qualifications: • NetSuite ERP experience (we're implementing soon) with focus on cost accounting and financial reporting modules • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related quantitative field • Experience in textile, home goods, consumer products, or retail industries with complex cost structures and multi-platform operations • Ecommerce/marketplace experience with understanding of Amazon, Walmart, Target seller dynamics and fee structures What Makes You Successful: • Solutions-oriented financial mindset with ability to translate complex cost data into actionable business insights and strategic recommendations • Strong work ethic and commitment to meeting financial reporting deadlines and cost analysis deliverables in a fast-paced environment • Exceptional attention to detail with ability to identify cost variances, pricing errors, and inconsistencies in large financial datasets • Leadership potential with ability to mentor and develop team members in financial analysis and cost accounting principles • Strategic financial thinking balanced with tactical execution capabilities for day-to-day cost management • Clear communication skills for presenting complex financial analysis and cost optimization strategies to executive stakeholders Work Environment: • 100% On-site position in Forest Lake, MN • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM -
