About This Role We're looking for an experienced Principal Programme Manager to cover a period of maternity leave on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a critical, high-profile role where you'll be responsible for planning, managing, and leading a team to deliver key marketing programmes that drive our commercial strategic objectives. You will be instrumental in maintaining momentum and driving positive change during this time. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is ready to make an immediate impact, challenge the status quo, and optimize our ways of working. You'll be a key leader in our priority markets in the UK and DE Marketing function, tasked with ensuring a smooth and efficient programme and process delivery while the permanent role holder is away. These are some of the key components to the position: Responsibilities Your focus will be on ensuring continuity and implementing key strategic initiatives. The following are the core responsibilities for this temporary role: • Process Improvement: Spearhead and deliver a strategy to improve our end-to-end (E2E) planning and execution processes to ensure consistency globally and scale learnings. This will be a high-priority task. You will also manage a backlog of process improvement requests, and continuously refine our process infrastructure. • Programme Management: Define, plan, and manage complex, integrated project workstreams across multiple strategic opportunities. Ensuring all work is delivered on time, measured and tracked to demonstrate the impact and value to our strategic initiatives. Priority in managing the Planning cycles for UK and DE with support from a team of programme managers. Additionally, you will guide the on-boarding of a new operating system to the function. • Team Leadership: Lead and support a small team of programme managers, empowering them to partner with the business effectively and guide in programme and project delivery ensuring quality outputs are delivered. Provide guidance on career growth and development opportunities for advancement. • Stakeholder Management: Work with Heads of Marketing, Director-level and CMO stakeholders to ensure buy-in on key projects and initiatives, and communicate the roadmap, progress and impact for our programmes. • Change Management: Act as a change management expert, training teams on how to manage and embrace change effectively. You will be responsible for bringing teams along on the journey of process improvements. • Innovation: Keep an ear to the ground on impact and use of AI and external practices. Using these to inspire how we develop our processes internally. Attend conferences, webinars and continue to build knowledge within the Marketing function. What will you bring to the team? Essential Skills We're looking for a candidate who can hit the ground running and demonstrate strong leadership in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing a team and will possess the following: • 10+ years of project, programme, and change management experience. • Exceptional ability to convey complex decisions and strategies, ensuring clarity and alignment on critical decision areas • Expert in enhancing cross-organizational programs and mechanisms • Proven experience in a similar senior leadership role, with the ability to influence and gain buy-in from senior stakeholders • Experience working in the e-commerce sector or a large digital B2C organization • Strong team player and people manager, with a solutions-oriented, agile and resilient mindset • Experience improving tooling to suit new ways of working • Qualification in APM PMQ, PRINCE2, or an equivalent certification Key Attributes For This Role • The ability to test and learn, implementing short-term solutions to drive continuous improvement • Energy and passion for developing and embedding a marketing ecosystem. • A forward-thinking approach, with the creativity to challenge the status quo and the determination to drive projects to completion • Skilled in navigating complex trade-offs to prioritize resources, organizational health, and scalable solutions • Proven ability to facilitate and drive cooperation across diverse disciplines and organizational boundaries At JET, This Is How We Play Our teams forge connections internally and work with some of the best-known brands on the planet, giving us truly international impact in a dynamic environment.
