As part of our continued growth, weβre looking for a detail-driven and creative Product Content & Merchandising Executive to join our team.
The Role
This is a pivotal role within the eCommerce team, ensuring our products are presented in the most engaging, accurate, and user-friendly way across both websites. Youβll manage product uploads from start to finish, ensuring content is not only correct and consistent but also inspiring and commercially effective. Youβll also take ownership of our product catalogue, from imagery and descriptions through to on-site merchandising and content that educates and inspires customers.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Manage the end-to-end product upload process for both Hedges Direct and Best4Hedging websites.
β’ Write, edit, and optimise engaging product descriptions that reflect brand tone and drive conversions.
β’ Source and manage product imagery, liaising with suppliers and coordinating photography where required.
β’ Oversee the UX photography process, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with brand guidelines.
β’ Produce and maintain product-related blogs, care guides, and advice content to support customer education and SEO goals.
β’ Own the product catalogue, ensuring it remains accurate, up to date, and comprehensive at all times.
β’ Work closely with the marketing and trading teams to deliver effective on-site merchandising, seasonal campaigns, and promotional activity.
β’ Monitor product content performance and make data-driven recommendations for optimisation.
β’ Ensure all product content aligns with SEO best practice and enhances the overall customer journey.
Skills & Experience
β’ Experience in eCommerce product management, merchandising, or content creation.
β’ Strong copywriting and editing skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
β’ Confidence in sourcing, managing, and editing imagery (basic Photoshop/Canva skills desirable).
β’ Understanding of UX principles and how product presentation impacts conversion.
β’ Familiarity with SEO best practice for product content and blogs.
β’ Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
β’ Comfortable working cross-functionally with marketing, trading, and customer service teams.
β’ Previous experience with CMS platforms (Magento/Adobe Commerce desirable but not essential).
