We're seeking a seasoned Product Manager with a passion for user experience and deep expertise in SEO strategy and execution. This role will support the content and browsing experience for a major e-commerce platform, helping drive organic traffic from search engines to enhance discoverability and engagement across product and content pages.
This is a project opportunity through the end of 2025. The role is based in San Jose, CA, with a hybrid work arrangement (Tuesday-Thursday in the office and Monday and Friday working remotely).
Responsibilities:
β’ Define and drive product strategy and roadmap for SEO-focused initiatives, aligning with business and user experience goals
β’ Own the structure and content strategy for product and browsing surfaces, ensuring pages are optimized to meet user needs and search behavior
β’ Partner cross-functionally with UX, design, engineering, and analytics to create and implement content experiences that are SEO-driven and conversion-optimized
β’ Deliver and maintain product requirements documentation with prioritized features and clear justification
β’ Lead beta and pilot programs to test content and SEO performance enhancements
β’ Develop positioning and messaging strategies to support product visibility and business impact
β’ Monitor performance, competitor trends, and search algorithm updates to inform ongoing strategy
β’ Act as a thought leader across product and SEO disciplines, influencing cross-functional stakeholders
Requirements:
β’ Minimum 5 years of experience in product management, with a focus on user experience and content-led strategies
β’ Proven experience working in UX-driven and design-led organizations
β’ Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals and strategies to drive organic search traffic
β’ Experience working on customer-facing web experiences, particularly browsing and product page types
β’ Skilled in user research, consumer journey mapping, and content architecture
β’ Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
β’ Strong communication, documentation, and project planning skills
Preferred Requirements
β’ Experience working for large-scale e-commerce or digital commerce platforms
β’ Familiarity with Google Shopping or comparable feed-driven search experiences
β’ Background in industries such as investment banking or other data-driven, analytical environments
β’ Prior experience at leading tech companies or online marketplaces
Nice to Have Requirements:
