About the role Tesco is undergoing a major digital transformation, and our Commercial Product team is leading the charge. We’re building intelligent platforms that simplify how colleagues buy, manage, and sell products—online and in-store. As a Product Manager in the Commercial Product team, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation. You’ll own key products within our Buyers Toolkit and drive strategy, roadmap, and execution. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver intelligent, scalable solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience. This is a FTC maternity cover role for 12 months. You will be responsible for • Own and lead the strategy and delivery of a key product within the Buyers Toolkit • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align on vision and priorities • Drive initiatives like: • AI-powered product grouping for size and colour variations • Auto-categorisation across multiple taxonomies • Shopify taxonomy integration and attribute enrichment • AI agent validation for product data accuracy • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX, engineering, analytics, and operations to prototype, validate, and deliver solutions • Translate complex business problems into clear product requirements using user stories, personas, and acceptance criteria • Lead sprint planning and release execution with engineering teams • Monitor product performance and adoption, and continuously optimise for impact • Provide leadership and coaching to junior Product Managers • Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activity • Independently manage live product issues and drive resolution You will need • Proven experience in product management, ideally in complex, multi-stakeholder environments • Strong understanding of user research, design thinking, and agile methodologies • Experience with backlog prioritisation, dependency management, and data-driven decision making • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application in product development • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and drive focus across teams • A collaborative mindset and a passion for solving real-world problems Whats in it for you?
