Jobright is an AI-powered career platform that helps job seekers discover the top opportunities in the US. We are NOT a staffing agency. Jobright does not hire directly for these positions. We connect you with verified openings from employers you can trust. Job Summary: Wayfair is one of the world’s largest online destinations for the home, and they are seeking a Product Manager for their Supplier Advertising team. In this role, you will own the strategy and development of sponsored product placements, collaborating with various teams to optimize advertising visibility while ensuring a high-quality customer experience. Responsibilities: β€’ Partner strategically with business, machine learning / applied science, and core engineering teams to identify and capitalize on opportunities to expand or optimize our advertising footprint through sponsored product placements, applying deep analytical rigor and leveraging advanced Machine Learning models to drive significant business impact. β€’ Translate complex business problems into clear, comprehensive product requirements, collaborating closely with cross-functional and cross-department teams (including ad ranking, platform, and advertiser experience teams). These requirements will include detailed technical specifications and data schemas to guide engineering efforts. β€’ Design and coordinate rigorous A/B testing frameworks and experimentation plans with stakeholder teams owning Wayfair’s website and recommendation algorithms. You will lead the execution of sponsored footprint expansions and optimizations, meticulously analyzing test results to inform iterative product development and data-driven decisions. β€’ Act as a technical product leader within your dedicated engineering team, driving timely and smooth execution by actively participating in sprint rituals (grooming, planning, retrospective) and providing technical guidance and problem-solving support to ensure high-quality delivery. β€’ Drive successful go-to-market strategies for your products in partnership with internal or external stakeholders, ensuring seamless integration and adoption. β€’ Define the longer-term vision for sponsored product placements, articulating how and when they should be used versus other ad or organic content types on the site. This will involve integrating insights from performance metrics, user behavioral data, and competitive analysis. β€’ Influence and shape the strategic direction for improving all aspects of the ad serving stack, including sophisticated candidate generation and ranking algorithms, with the goal of maximizing ads monetization outcomes for sponsored product placements while safeguarding customer experience. β€’ Build and maintain a robust product roadmap, constantly monitoring product success and measuring the impact of your features through advanced data analysis, KPI tracking, and experimentation frameworks. Qualifications: Required: β€’ 3-5 years building software products at scale with measurable impact, ideally across multiple platforms or workstreams, demonstrating a strong foundation in software development lifecycle and agile methodologies. β€’ A strong track record of effective partnership with engineering and machine learning / applied science teams, demonstrating a deep understanding of complex technical architectures, data pipelines, and algorithmic design in driving cross-organizational initiatives and product launches. β€’ Exceptional quantitative skills with demonstrated experience in hypothesis generation, designing and analyzing A/B tests, interpreting statistical significance, and translating complex data into actionable product insights and requirements. Proficiency in SQL or other data querying languages is a plus. β€’ Solid understanding of UI/UX design principles and best practices for a front-end eCommerce experience, with the ability to articulate user flows, wireframes, and collaborate effectively with design teams to create intuitive and effective interfaces. β€’ Proven ability to engage deeply in highly technical conversations with both software engineers and data scientists, understanding architectural tradeoffs, data models, API design, and the intricacies of machine learning model development and deployment. β€’ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical nuances into clear, concise 'so-what' statements and tailor your message effectively to diverse audiences (cross-functional stakeholders, senior leadership, etc.). β€’ A customer-centric mindset and intuition, with the ability to balance customer value between both sides of a two-sided marketplace (supplier advertisers and Wayfair customers). β€’ Ability to work with and influence partner teams (Senior Manager +) across various functional areas, leveraging technical credibility and strong communication. Preferred: β€’ Experience with advertising technology platforms or consumer-facing e-commerce experiences is highly preferred. Company: Wayfair is a retail store that offers a wide range of home products such as outdoor, bedding, lighting, and appliances with online services. Founded in 2002, the company is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, with a team of 10001+ employees. The company is currently Public Company. Wayfair has a track record of offering H1B sponsorships.
