Product Line Manager – RTA & Fully Assembled Cabinets
Location: Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, or Waco
Company Overview
Dakota Premium Hardwoods is a leading distributor serving the Cabinet and Woodworking industries across five states and growing. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Line Manager to lead our RTA and Fully Assembled Cabinets division. This role requires a strategic, hands-on professional with expertise in sales, marketing, and inventory management in the cabinet industry.
Position Summary
This position will oversee the full lifecycle of our cabinet product lines—managing sales initiatives, vendor relationships, inventory flow, training programs, and marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to run this division as a “business within a business.”
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support a sales team of 60 representatives across 12 branches in five states
• Collaborate with Dakota Leadership, manufacturers, and our marketing agency to promote products
• Identify and develop strategies to meet evolving market needs and design trends
• Manage inventory flow: coordinate purchase orders, vendor relations, container tracking, and stock levels
• Educate sales teams, management, and customers on the features and benefits of our cabinet offerings
• Oversee sales, training, and inventory for our specialty high-end closet hardware line
• Support and grow our RTA e-commerce platform
• Maintain tight control over inventory, forecasting, and replenishment strategies
What We’re Looking For
• Proven ability to manage a product line as a stand-alone business
• Strong proficiency in Excel, 20/20 Design, and Cabinet Vision
• Natural trainer and motivator with exceptional communication skills
• “Roll up your sleeves” attitude with a drive to succeed and deliver results
• High energy, proactive, and able to work independently
• Willingness to travel across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Florida
