Location: Newbald, Yorkshire | 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home With flexible hours and modern office space Salary: £37,000–£45,000 (depending on experience) Plus bonus potential, training and growth opportunities in a thriving tech environment Reports to: Technical Lead About Rockartech: Rockartech is a software producer and e-commerce consultancy for automotive OEMs and Retailers. We offer a suite of products to easily implement e-commerce, and help companies with their go to market strategy and optimise their operations. We work with some of the world's largest automotive companies, including Jaguar Land Rover, Toyota and BMW and foster a culture that is collaborative and innovative across our two UK locations – London and Newbald, Yorkshire. Role Purpose: We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our omni-channel eCommerce platform. You will be a crucial part of our delivery teams, responsible for designing, implementing, and executing both manual and automated testing strategies. Your work will directly contribute to delivering a stable, performant, and defect-free experience for our clients and their customers. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases. • Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts using modern automation tools and frameworks to ensure high test coverage. • Identify, record, and track defects with clarity and detail. • Collaborate closely with software engineers and product managers to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle. • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. • Work with DevOps teams to integrate testing into our CI/CD pipelines. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team's QA processes and strategies. Key Skills and Qualifications: • Proven experience in a Quality Assurance role, with a strong focus on both manual and automated testing. • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit). • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman). • Familiarity with bug-tracking and project management tools like Jira. • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate issues and work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
