We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering team. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure. You will also be instrumental in driving the automation and optimization of our processes to ensure the efficient delivery of our services.
Responsibilities
β’ Collaborate with software engineers to understand application requirements and design suitable infrastructure solutions.
β’ Implement, monitor, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure according to best practices.
β’ Develop and maintain CI/CD processes for automated deployment using tools like Git, Jira, GitLab, or Jenkins.
β’ Administer and optimize Linux e-Commerce software and J2EE/PHP applications.
β’ Utilize Docker for application deployment and Kubernetes for orchestration services.
β’ Develop automation scripts using AWS SDK in Python, Ruby or similar languages.
β’ Ensure system compliance with PCI-DSS standards and handle audit requirements.
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our development, test, and production environments.
β’ Manage and maintain tools to automate operational processes.
β’ Work in a highly clustered environment and support high traffic, scalable web applications/services.
Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree in computer science, MIS, or equivalent area of technical study. Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for the minimum education requirement.
β’ Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
β’ 2+ years of experience working in an AWS environment with knowledge of EC2, RDS, S3, and IAM.
β’ 2+ years as a Senior Software Engineer or a senior-level Systems Administrator.
β’ Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
β’ Experience creating automation using AWS SDK in Python, Ruby or similar language.
β’ Experience working in a highly clustered environment.
β’ 2+ years of DevOps experience.
β’ Minimum one or more years of professional experience deploying and supporting high traffic, scalable web applications/services.
β’ Strong experience maintaining, upgrading, and optimizing Linux e-Commerce software and J2EE/PHP applications.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of audit and compliance requirements to meet PCI-DSS standards.
β’ Experience administering and deploying development CI/CD tools such as Git, Jira, GitLab, or Jenkins.
β’ Familiarity with container orchestration services, especially Kubernetes.
β’ Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
β’ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
β’ Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
