We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to drive new business growth, manage the sales pipeline, build lasting client relationships, and lead our business development efforts to the next level. Key Responsibilities 1. New Business Development & Pipeline Management β€’ Identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities with eCommerce brands and businesses looking to scale on Shopify. β€’ Build, manage, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools, ensuring a steady flow of qualified leads. β€’ Develop and execute outreach strategies (cold email, LinkedIn, partnerships, events) to generate consistent new business. β€’ Deliver persuasive presentations, proposals, and pitches tailored to client needs. 1. Relationship Building β€’ Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and partners. β€’ Act as the trusted first point of contact for prospects, building confidence in our expertise and solutions. β€’ Foster partnerships with complementary service providers (marketing agencies, app developers, consultants) to expand referral networks. 1. Targets & Revenue Growth β€’ Own sales targets, revenue KPIs, and conversion goals for new client acquisition. β€’ Track, measure, and report on business development performance to leadership. β€’ Continuously refine strategies to exceed revenue and growth objectives. 1. Team Collaboration & Leadership β€’ Work closely with internal delivery teams (design, development, project management) to align client needs with agency capabilities. β€’ Collaborate with marketing to refine lead generation strategies and content initiatives. β€’ Build, mentor, and lead a small business development team as the department scales. Key Requirements β€’ Proven experience (3+ years) in business development, sales, or account management in an agency, SaaS, or eCommerce environment. β€’ Strong knowledge of Shopify and the eCommerce ecosystem. β€’ Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. β€’ Track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and revenue goals. β€’ Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. β€’ Proficiency in using CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce). β€’ Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and drive growth initiatives. β€’ Leadership skills to guide and motivate a business development team.
