To support this growth, we’re hiring a Sales Director, Marketplaces & Platforms - a high-impact role that will drive strategic sales efforts while also leading a growing team of senior commercial talent.
Position
As the Sales Director, Marketplaces & Platforms, you will be responsible for closing strategic platform partnerships while also managing and growing a team of high-performing sales professionals. This is a player-coach role, ideal for a seasoned commercial leader who can balance individual sales execution with team leadership and strategic planning.
Your focus will be to expand Storfund’s presence in the marketplace and platform ecosystem - including B2C marketplaces, ecommerce platforms, and B2B trade platforms -- by identifying, negotiating, and closing high-value commercial partnerships. At the same time, you’ll be responsible for mentoring and enabling your team to achieve aggressive growth targets.
You will report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer.
What you'll be doing
• Own and execute strategic enterprise sales targeting marketplaces and platforms globally (B2C & B2B).
• Manage, coach, and support a Senior Account Executive and future hires.
• Develop a robust go-to-market strategy for global platform partnerships and lead its execution.
• Build and maintain executive-level relationships with prospective and current partners.
• Partner cross-functionally with product, marketing, legal, and operations to design compelling commercial propositions and scalable solutions.
• Accurately forecast sales performance and report pipeline and progress to the Chief Revenue Officer and executive team.
• Hire, onboard, and scale a high-performing platform sales team as the function grows.
• Represent Storfund at key industry events and forums, serving as a strategic ambassador for the business.
This is what we are looking for
• 10+ years’ experience in enterprise sales, business development, or partnerships, preferably in fintech, ecommerce, marketplaces, or platform solutions.
• Strong record of closing multi-stakeholder, high-value deals in complex or fast-growth environments.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, even in hybrid or informal people management roles.
• Commercial experience with embedded finance, marketplace infrastructure, or B2B SaaS is highly desirable.
• Highly strategic thinker with the ability to turn vision into executable go-to-market plans.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, particularly at the executive level.
• Operates with ownership, urgency, and accountability; thrives in a scale-up environment.
• Willing to travel occasionally to meet clients and attend strategic events.
