Scrum Master (Contract β Remote)
Location: Remote (U.S. based)
Contract: Through December 2026
Pay Rate: $75.00/hr W2
About the Role
Weβre seeking a Scrum Master to support a national retailer/eCommerce organization that is building out a new omnichannel digital platform. This is a unique opportunity to help shape a fast-growing, startup-like division, where Agile practices are being established and teams are still maturing. The role is approximately 70β80% Scrum Master work with 20β30% traditional project management, including financial tracking and delivery oversight.
Responsibilities
β’ Facilitate Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and support backlog health.
β’ Partner with product managers, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to drive delivery predictability and business outcomes.
β’ Balance Agile practices with necessary PM structure (financials, milestones, tracking).
β’ Provide coaching and servant leadership to help teams adopt Agile practices while maintaining accountability for delivery.
β’ Support omnichannel and eCommerce initiatives to expand digital customer capabilities.
β’ Champion continuous improvement, transparency, and cross-team collaboration.
Candidate Profile
β’ 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, with strong knowledge of Agile frameworks.
β’ Background in retail, eCommerce, or omnichannel digital platforms highly preferred.
β’ Experience starting in traditional project management (Waterfall) and later moving into Agile/hybrid approaches.
β’ Comfortable with ambiguity, organizational change, and building processes from the ground up.
β’ Skilled facilitator and influencer with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
β’ Strong financial tracking and project reporting skills.
β’ Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and Agile reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or SAFe). PMP a plus.
β’ Experience in large-scale Agile transformations within product-led organizations.
β’ Familiarity with UX, omnichannel commerce, or digital storefront platforms.
β’ Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.

β’ Build trust with delivery teams and business leaders.
β’ Establish healthy Agile ceremonies and backlogs while adapting to business needs.
β’ Show improvements in delivery predictability and team collaboration.
