Job Description Frasers Group are currently looking for a Senior Backend Engineer for Digital Data Squad to join our growing IT function and work as part of an enthusiastic, motivated, and delivery focused agile team. Frasers Group are a global powerhouse within retail, made up of household names such as Sports Direct and USC. IT at Frasers Group is delivered by the in-house team who are passionate about what they do and are not dependent on outsourced organisations to deliver the core systems. This role is hybrid with 3 days and the office and 2 days at home Key Responsibilities • Working on all aspects of our state of the art, inhouse developed, ecommerce platform. Our platform runs over 50 websites - including some of the biggest names in Retail • Providing innovative, fast, and reliable websites by building robust interconnected data applications and services that serves large quantities of data • Developing on the backend, mostly with data related systems with a range of exciting technologies • Managing the full software development lifecycle, ensuring appreciation of quality assurance, continuous integration/delivery, and the benefits of automation • Designing, developing, and testing, fast, scalable, and architecturally robust solutions • Staying up to date with the latest technology and industry trends, continuously looking for ways to apply them for our benefit Qualifications We are looking for proven experience with - • .Net Core (C#) • Relational (Sql Server/Oracle) and NoSQL databases • Microservices & distributed systems architecture • Cloud Experience • 5 years experience in a similar role Desirable • Azure • Terraform • Node.js • MongoDB • REST Api design • GraphQL • gRPC • Search Engines: ElasticSearch/Algolia/Typesense or similar • Distributed Caching e.g Redis Additional Information What’s next?
