Job Description We are looking for a Senior Content Editor to join the eCommerce Development team on a 12 Month FTC, based from NEXT Head Office in Enderby, Leicestershire with a competitive salary range and great benefits! The Development team plays a key role within the eCommerce department, constantly working to improve our websites and mobile app to deliver a seamless and engaging shopping experience for our customers. From enhancing site performance and functionality to implementing new features and technologies, the team ensures our eCommerce platforms are fast, reliable, and customer focused. About the Role: As a Senior Content Editor, you will work as part of a collaborative team of UK and International Content Editors, ensuring our websites are accurate, up to date and aligned with business needs. You’ll manage change requests from across the organisation, while also identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, introduce automation and explore how AI can improve the speed and efficiency of our processes. Acting as the first point of contact for website updates, you’ll work closely with stakeholders in the eCommerce team to support key projects, campaigns, and respond to fast-paced business requests. What else is involved? • Using our CMS to update our platform as per business requests. • Publishing and editing new and exciting content daily across all website channels including next.co.uk, nextdirect.com and other next websites. • Embrace and implement new technologies, including AI, to streamline content workflows. You'll be a key player in identifying opportunities to leverage AI for process automation and efficiency gains, particularly in areas like content review, quality assurance, and bulk updates. • Liaising with our offshore team in India to ensure requests and issues are being resolved in a timely fashion. • Managing website issues and requests from the wider department and business. • Working closely with our QA team to ensure all website changes and updates are signed-off and launched on time. • Utilise your technical skills to develop and run scripts to automate routine tasks, integrate with various APIs, and perform bulk content operations. • Assisting deliver new and exciting initiatives alongside BAU activity such as sales, new season launches, campaigns, new developments and more! About You: • Strong communicator with a real team ethic and the ability to work under pressure • A genuine interest in fashion retail and ecommerce. • Experience or a strong interest in using AI tools for content management and process optimisation. • The ability to use or learn Python scripting to streamline work and automate tasks. • Adaptable to change and willing to support other team members when required. • Good at breaking down problems and finding relevant solutions • Available to work callout shifts every once in a while. • Excellent planning, attention to detail and organisational skills • Experience updating online content using a CMS preferably CoreMedia. • A good technical mind and general understanding of HTML, CSS & XML.
